Alberto Mayo Due to these challenges, the parametric average-value-modeling (PAVM)

approach has been developed for diode-rectifiers in [13]-[17], wherein the ac- and dc-side
variables are related by explicit algebraic functions which are obtained numerically from
the detailed simulation. Therefore, PAVM avoids complicated analytical derivations, which
makes this approach especially useful for industrial applications and complicated systems
containing non-linear components and multiple converters (for which it would be very
challenging if not impossible to derive accurate AVMs analytically). The PAVM technique
has mostly been developed for diode rectifiers. Recently, an approximate PAVM was
developed to model the thyristor-controlled rectifiers [18]-[19]. A review of average-value-
modeling methods and their applications in power system transients can be found in [21]-
[22].

modelado de valor promedio (PAVM) para rectificadores de diodos en [13]-[17], en el que
