• To review KETHEA’s current organisational structure, management
and practices
• To identify and discuss issues and obstacles that may affect KETHEA’s
future development
• To develop a shared vision, values, goals and aspirations for KETHEA
• To explore ways of taking the organisation forward

11.15 – 13.00 Pre-Mortem Identify the problems that might cause KETHEA to fail. Identify possible
solutions.
13.00 – 14.00 Lunch Break
14.00 – 14.30 Presentation 1: The Secret The organisational dynamics that shape how organisations behave, often in
Life of the Organisation unconscious ways. Illustrated with reference to real world case studies.

14.30 – 16.00 Small Group Session 1: The group splits into three small groups each of which works with the issues
Working with organisational raised in the previous presentation to review and reflect on issues and
dynamics challenges that create anxiety and tensions within the organisation.

16.00 – 16.30 Presentation 2: How Key factors that prevent organisational change. Illustrated with reference to
organisations get stuck real world case studies.

16.30 – 17.30 Small Group Session 2: Each group works with the issues raised in the previous presentation and
working with stuckness with the outcomes of the ‘pre-mortem’ and small group session 1, to
identify the issues and obstacles that may affect KETHEA’s future
development.

09.00 – 09.15 Objectives of Day 2 Re-cap previous day and look at objectives of Day 2.
09.15 – 09.45 Presentation 3: Organisational How emotional and organisational intelligence can contribute
Intelligence to KETHEA’s future development.
09.45 – 11.45 Small Group Session 3: Assessing ‘Hands on’ use of the EI and OI self-assessment tools.

11.45 – 12.00 Coffee Break
12.00 – 12.30 Presentation 4: The Learning How KETHEA could develop as a ‘learning organisation’, using
Organisation a ‘Theory of Change’ model to promote a shared vision,
values, goals and aspirations.
13.00 – 14.00 Lunch
14.00 – 16.00 Small Group Session 4: Constructing a Groups produce 5 year Development Plan for KETHEA,
Shared Development Plan for KETHEA including: agreed definition of KETHEA’s ‘primary task’, a
shared organisational vision, a statement of changes that need
to be made going forward and a revised organisational
structure for KETHEA.
16.00 – 16.15 Coffee Break
16.15 – 17.00 Final Open Discussion Final group discussion, reviewing what was achieved in the
workshop, what was learned and how the learning can be
applied to take KETHEA forward.
