COVID-19 AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

• The COVID-19 pandemic became a global


phenomenon. people are disproportionately affected
by COVID-19 because of lack of information about
ways of protection against the corona virus.
Nowadays, everyone is afraid from the covid-19 and
I N T RODU C T I O N
get infected by the virus. Many misleading
information are being spread among people. The
campaign will provide people with all the
information about the corona virus and ways of
protection.
• Our project vision to make an awareness
campaign to reach large scale of people
OUR through social media. We are looking forward
to increase awareness level about the novel
VISION coronavirus transmission and prevention
measures and decrease the spread of
misinformation regarding the virus.
• In the project, we are doing an awareness campaign for
WHAT IS THE the COVID-19. We will create Facebook page. The page
will be a platform that will include posters, videos, and
PROJECT posts. We are a small team; I am the leader with 2
members.
• I preferred the democratic leadership style. The
democratic leader treats team members as fully
capable of doing work on their own rather than
controlling the team, democratic leaders work with
team members, trying hard to treat everyone fairly,
without putting themselves above followers. I chose
the democratic leadership style as the outcome of it
is mostly positive. The amount of work, the progress
of the project, and following the project timeline is
LEADERSHIP STYLE the benefit from the way of leadership. The
democratic leadership results in group member
satisfaction, commitment, and cohesiveness and there
is more friendliness, mutual praise, and group
mindedness. In addition to that, democratic leadership
results in stronger worker motivation and greater
creativity. People are motivated to pursue their own
talents under the supportive structure of democratic
leadership.
STORY OF THE PROJECT

• I am doing the project with two of my colleagues, they are living in Egypt and I am here in
the US. We used to have a weekly meeting through zoom to follow up on the tasks and
the progress of the project and if any of the team members need help or support, we help
each other as I am working as a leader and team member in the same time. For our small-
scale project, this way is helping to progress faster and efficiently in the project. We have
been working on the project for one month. I have put a plan and timeline for the project
to be done by four weeks. I have distributed the tasks between me and my team member,
I have created the project template and we discussed it together and worked on some
modifications on it. We had a communication weekly to check for the progress and discuss
the new ideas together.

• I received a great feedback from my team,


they really enjoyed our work, as they are
my friends, they were happy to work with
me and this was a strength point for our
project. I totally agree with them. After the
project, I learned more and understood
different aspects and ways of leadership.
Applying these skills gave me the
opportunity to increase my knowledge
about being a good leadership.
