Barbarian archetype

Path of the primal warrior

Lore

The rage like abilities of the barbarian stem from a primal side of all creatures that need to
hunt and kill. Those who follow the path of the primal warrior embrace this side.

The path of the primal warrior originates from a time period where the small folks had to
live in a world filled with deadly creatures such as the Megalodon. This completion forced
the creatures to become better hunters and focus on defence rather than offence.

Bone Armor
Starting at 3rd level, when raging as a bonus action you can reduce your maximum hit points
by your barbarian level doubled. For the duration of your rage you receive a bonus to your
AC equal to your rage damage bonus. If this hit point reduction is restored in any way the
bonus is lost. This ability can only be used once per rage.

Primal knowledge
Your hunter instincts have served the tribe for years. Starting at 6th level, you receive the
following benefits:
 Difficult terrain doesn't slow you or your group's travel.
 You can ignore difficult terrain.
 When you forage, you find twice as much food as you normally would.
 While tracking other creature, you also learn the exact number, their size, and how
long ago they passed through the area.

Primal shout
Starting at 10th level, whilst raging as an action you can reduce your max hit points by 1d12.
As part of the same action you let out a supernatural roar, dealing 1d10 force damage in a
15 foot cone. You can increase the damage of the shout by 1d10 for each d10 you sacrifice,
you can sacrifice a number of d10’s equal to your Constitution modifier. For example a
barbarian with a +4 Constitution modifier can sacrifice 4d10 to cause the damage of the
shout to by 4d10. This ability can only be done once per rage. This hit point reduction can
only be restored by finishing a long rest.
Pain is power
Starting at 14th level, when you are the subject of a successful attack from a hostile creature
that deals slashing, bludgeoning or piercing damage from either magical or non-magical
source, whilst raging. You can choose to embrace the pain of the attack. The attack reduces
your maximum hit points by the amount of damage dealt. However all melee attacks you
make before the end of your next turn deal 1 additional weapon dice in damage. For
example if a barbarian attacks with a battle axe, instead of dealing 1d8 slashing damage it
instead deals 2d8.
This ability can only done a number of times equal to you Constitution modifier (minimum
1). This hit point reduction can only be restored by finishing a long rest.
