"I am a Dwarf! My honour is my life and without it I am nothing. I shall become a Slayer.

I shall
seek redemption in the eyes of my ancestors. I shall become as death to my enemies, until I face
he that takes my life and my shame."
—Ancient dwarven oath.
Restriction: Dwarves Only
Only dwarves can follow the Path of the Slayer. The Slayer fills a particular niche in dwarven
society and culture.
Path of Grimnir
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you swear upon the oath of the slayer that will
bind you until you face your inevitable demise.
You can’t be frightened. You can benefit from this subclass’ features only if you aren’t wearing
armor or using a shield. You aren’t restricted to a particular weapon type, though handaxes,
battleaxes and greataxes are usually the slayer’s weapons of choice.
Giant Slayer
Starting at 3rd level, you make your best efforts to find and fight the most formidable of foes.
While you’re raging, when you hit a Large or larger creature with a weapon attack, the creature
takes extra damage equal to 1d8 + half your level in this class. You can deal this extra damage
only once per turn.
Moreover, whenever you make an Intelligence (Nature) or Wisdom (Survival) checks related to
a Large or larger creature of a significant threat, you are considered proficient in Nature or
Survival skill as appropriate.
Reckless Fortitude
Beginning at 6th level, you fight to the death with every ounce of your skill and strength.
Provided that you have no more than half of your hit points left, immediately after you take
damage while raging you can use your reaction and spend one Hit Die to heal yourself. Roll the
die, add your Constitution modifier and regain a number of hit points equal to the total
(minimum of 1).
Alternatively, when you make a saving throw while raging, you can spend one Hit Die (no action
required), rolling the die and adding the number rolled to the saving throw. You can choose to
spend a Hit Die after you make the saving throw, but before the outcome is determined. You can
use this ability in this way only once per rage.
Doom Seeker’s Misfortune
At 10th level, it seems that the ancestor gods have denied you an honorable death. You have
advantage on death saving throws and when you make attack roll or saving throw, you can treat
a 1 on the d20 as a 20. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or
long rest.
Death March
At 14th level, you pause only to slake your thirst before beginning your death quest anew. You
ignore the effects of exhaustion while raging and at the end of a short rest, you regain a number
of Hit Dice equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1), up to your character’s
maximum number of Hit Dice.
