Main: 3.2.1 Understand the main idea of short simple texts.
Complementary: 4.3.2 Spell an increased range of familiar
high frequency words accurately in guided writing.
OBJECTIVES
Main: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to read
and fill in at least 2 boxes correctly.
Pre-lesson: Teacher introduced 2018 Winter Olympics to
the kids. (Can be in a video or picture form)
Lesson delivery:
1. Pupils are introduced to the Winter Olympic Reading
Cards.
2. Pupils read the cards in groups and ask if they don’t
know any words.
3. The reading cards are pasted around the class.
4. Pupils are given a dictation task sheet to work in pairs
5. Pupils A runs to the world first and pupil B writes and
completes the first box. Upon completion of the first box,
pupils A and B switch roles.
Post-lesson: Pupils check their answers.

Worksheets Module page 19. Pupils write YES /NO based
on the structure of the sentences.
2. Pupils rewrite the wrong sentences in Part A back in Part
B.
3. Pupils review the question forms. They complete Part C
by changing the sentences to its question form.
4. Pupils’ answers are checked.
