ABSTRACT
This study entitled Plastle Egg Tray was conducted from January 2020 to April
2021 in Pulot Center, Sofronio Española, Palawan. This study aimed to: determine the
advantages of using Plastle Egg Tray as an alternative egg tray; identify the effectiveness
of Plastle Egg Tray as an alternative egg tray in terms of durability, price and to the
safety of the eggs and; distinguish the differences between using Plastle Egg Tray as an
alternative egg tray and usual egg tray in terms of durability, price and to the safety of
the eggs. Therefore, the researcher thought of developing an alternative egg tray that is
done in a resourceful way of using plastic bottles. According to Kario (2011), there are
different kinds of plastic can degrade at different times, but the average time for a plastic
bottle to completely degrade is at least 450 years. Therefore, the researchers thought that
recycling plastic bottles can help the environment and ozone layer and make plastic
bottles more useful.
The researchers prepared two samples Plastle Egg Tray that served as the
experimental group. On the other hand, usual egg tray was used as the control group. As
monitored in the questionnaire given to the panelists, the study revealed a difference
between two comparable groups. Based on the results, the researchers concluded that
Plastle Egg Tray is more effective in terms of durability. However, usual egg tray was
more affordable in terms of price and same in terms of to the safety of the eggs.
