I will be teaching how art can be anything you find. Especially with

This lesson will take two days consisting of being 50 minutes each day.

I plan on dividing it separately. First day will be reading and discussing

environment We will begin by discussing what they know about plants. If they own a garden
at home. What does it need. Can a plant live indoors or outdoors etc.

What materials will be used?

Flowers, dirt, branches, acorns, grass, seeds, leaves, glue, paper, rocks,
stones, scissors.

How will the learning environment be set up?

Materials will be on top of a tray. The trays will be placed at various tables.
Instructional Procedures:

Day 1:
During the first 15 minutes we will begin reading the book called “The Tiny Seed”. We
will then discuss the cycle a plant goes through during each season. How to grow a
plant. How a plant is important. What it needs to survive.
For 30 minutes we will have outside time where I and the children will find materials we
can use for our class activity.

Day 2: For 10 minutes we will have circle time to discuss yesterdays findings and be
reminded how a plant is important to society.
For another 10 minutes we will use the internet to find some inspiration to find what
things we can create. As well as learning different types of flowers, trees and stones
For 30 minutes we will be in groups where each table will have a tray of different nature
materials and with what they were inspired they will use their imagination to create
anything with the materials given.

such as rocks, branches, flowers etc.

Having flashcards set showing the different stages of a plant in order.
Vocabulary: Environment, Ecosystem, Water, Sunlight

For teachers I will have a book. A computer to search online materials one can do with
things from outside.

For students During outside time the students will pick up things that grab their attention
from outside to make. Laptops will be given to search different types of
ecosystems. (forests, tundra, grasslands, marine, deserts, and freshwater. )
of what types of animals live in that area as well as plants and other materials
can be found in that region.
