Q1: A / What are the types of chemical plant accidents? Compare among them showing the
probability of occurrence, potential for fatalities and potential for economic loss. (5 Marks)
B/Define five of the following: (5 Marks)
Pollution, COD, Safety, OSHA incidence rate, fly ash, Chemical Hazards.

C/ What is fire triangle? Give an three examples. (5 Marks)

Q2:A/ list the air pollutants and give 6 of the most commonly used equipments that deals with
the air pollution control. (10 Marks)

B/ In 12 months the following accident are occurred in the chemical plant with 600 workers
averaging 8 hr daily.

2- There are no chemicals added to the water during treatment in the water treatment plant.
3- The Municipal wastewater contains high concentrations of organic carbon only.
4-The disabling injury cannot be eliminated in any branch of industry.
5- The essential elements for combustion are fuel, and an ignition source.
