ADJUSTMENT
~the adjustment layers in photoshop
are group of a super useful, non
destructive image editing tools that add
color and tonal adjustment to your
image without permanently changing its
pixels
HIGHLIGHT
~larger values provide either greater
lightening of shadows or greater
darkening of highlights . You can adjust
both shadows and highlights in an
image.

image to be adjusted or edited
BRIGHTNESS AND CONTRAST

-adjust the tonal value consequently

CLONE STAMP TOOL (S)
-paints of clones a sample part of an
image and duplicates it to another part

HEALING BRUSH TOOL
-removes imperfections, such as
blemishes and objects, in a selected
area of an image using sample or
pattern—they disappear into the
surrounding image.
-it matches texture, lightning,
transparency, and shading of the
sampled pixels to the pixels being
healed, which blends the repaired pixel
seamlessly into the rest of the image.
PATCH TOOL
-let you repair a selected area with
pixels from another area or pattern.
-it matches the texture, lightning, and
shading of the sampled pixels to the
source pixels.
HIDE OR SHOWING A LAYER
-you can hide a layer temporarily If you
need to see the other layer behind it.
You hide a layer by clicking the EYE
ICON beside the thumbnail and then
clicking the EYE ICON again to display
the content of layer

MASKING LAYERS

FILTERS

editing tasks such as applying LENS
BLUR
-to clean up or retouch your
photos,such as removing dust and
scratches, or apply special art effects.,
like that of GRAPHIC PEN EFFECT.
BLUR FILTERS
-soften a selection or an entire image.
These can make the selection hazy or
indistinct, which is useful in making the
background in the photo blur,for
example blur filters smooth transitions.
SUBTRACT FROM SELECTION (OPTION
BAR)
-if you need to delete a selection, click
SUBTRACT FROM SELECTION in the
OPTION bar and then click on the
selection that you want to subtract.

-add painterly and artistic efforts for a
fine arts or co,medical project.
QUICK SELECTION TOOL
-to quickly “paint’” a selection using an

BASS RELIEF

GAUSSIAN refers to the bell shaped
curve that photoshop elements
generates when it applies a weighted
average to the pixels.
-adds low frequency detail and can
produce hazy effect
LENS BLUR
-lets you change the points or level of
focus after the photo
