Dear Sir/Madam,

With this letter I would hereby like to apply for the Master in International
Management and International Relations program implemented by the
University of Vienna, starting in September 2017. I am highly motivated young
professional, and I perceive that this degree course will be beneficial for my
future career. I am confident that my strong academic background in Business
Management and Administration, supplemented with several courses taken in
the field of international relations and development make me a strong candidate
for this competitive program.

I hold bachelor degree in Business Management and Administration from the

University of Athens, awarded with honors, among best students in class. Since
I have clearly determined career goals, I would like to continue my education
abroad, preferably in Austria, because I do not see that Greece provides enough
opportunities for my professional aspirations. International relations are a
natural choice for me because of my various international experiences, deep
interest in other cultures and strong language skills in foreign languages. Since
I am very interested in the issues of international development and
management of international organizations, I plan to peruse my career in some
international organization, and therefore I believe degree program offered by
the University of Vienna is an excellent kick of point toward this goal.
I have sound knowledge of English language, which I have gained through
attending language classes in UK, for several summers. Furthermore, I have
practiced my English in communicating with native speakers, and on the
internship, I have completed with UNHCR in Athens, Greece.
I would like to learn more about international politics, international relations
and development, and after going through curricula of this Master program, I
believe that I will have opportunity to educate myself in these fields. As this is
an emerging area in terms of present developments on the international sphere,
I would be glad to get the opportunity to become student of the University of
Vienna, having in mind its renown name, and the fact that Vienna is a host to
several UN agencies.

I would also like to bring to your attention that I have completed Erasmus
student exchange program in Brussels, so I have experience in living abroad
and acquainting with people coming from different countries and cultures. This
experience helped to boost my individual potential and encouraged me to
peruse my Master degree studies abroad.
I believe that with my work and studies I have a solid foundation, but through
the Master’s program I hope to develop expertise in international studies
focusing on the international relations and management.

Thank you very much for considering my application and I am looking forward
to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Costas Papadopoulos

Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for the Aspen Institute Italia scholarship.
I am currently in the final year of undergraduate study at the National School of Political Science and
Administration, Faculty of Political Science, Bucharest, Romania. Through my studies I became
deeply passionate of the International Relations field, especially the role of the international
organizations in maintaining worldwide peace and stability. As I wish to specialize in International
Relations, I am very interested to apply to the Master’s degree
in International Relations, Diplomacy and International Organizations curriculum, at the University
of Milan.
The field of study and professional career which we choose in life are a result of our psychological
profile. One of the features that define me is the need of harmony which I consider essential in our
existence, from the family climate to the social one. This was reflected in my school and university
options. I had chosen in high school to study social sciences because I considered important to
understand myself and those surrounding me, from the individuals to the entire society, and I realized
the increasing complexity of the relations between human communities and even states. Therefore, I
chose to study the Faculty of Political Sciences considering that it combines the subtleties of all the
other social sciences. The specialization in International Relations arose from the consideration of this
discipline to be an expression of the search for balance and harmony in a world subjected to
contradictory trends, in which culturally different states try to coexist and to promote their interests.

In the future, I plan to build a professional career in Diplomacy, which I see as a field inconstant
change, characterized by mobility, unpredictability and challenges. This responds to my desire of
involvement and self-improvement, to try new experiences and meet them successfully. Until now I
materialized these aspirations by collaborating with students’ NGOs and being involved in
extracurricular activities. During my first undergraduate year I was member of the „Volunteers
for Ideas and Projects” NGO, which organizes conferences, seminars and a summer
school for students on economic issues

I completed my undergraduate program in Applied Physics & Electronic Engineering form

University of Bansh. The emphasis of my study was to understand the fundamental
electronic principles. In this previous education, I’ve learned about the most important
electronic principles that are used in nowadays technology. I intend to pursue my higher
study in any renowned Institute abroad. Blekinge Institute of Technology is one of such
Institute that ensures the high standard of education. There is an ample scope to prove
one’s ability, competence and intelligence in Blekinge Institute of Technology. The Electrical
Engineering with emphasis on Telecommunication /Internet systems/Signal processing
department of Blekinge Institute of Technology best suites me because it offers many
courses that are specifically related to areas of my interest. Conducting Post Graduation
studies and research within the Science group would improve and increase my knowledge
and practical experience, especially because I have very little research possibilities in my
country. It will be my privilege to work, develop Post Graduation thesis and learn from
professors with grate experience in theory and practice. Basically, Bangladesh is not a highly
developed country. The higher study is notable to compete with the present world status. I
intend to study in Blekinge Institute of Technology for gathering the high standard of
technical knowledge so that I can contribute to the country development. We have to face
the challenges of 21 st
