Text 1

Last holiday I went to France. I rented a car and had a road trip there. I had driven to the next city for an
hour when I saw a man waving to stop me. He asked for a lift and I gave it. In the car, we had talked to
each other in French. As I spoke only a little French, I didn't talk much and it became awkward in the car.
The man also had remained silent until we almost reached the city, he asked, "Do you speak english?"
"Oh, my ! Don't tell me he's English as well !"

My family have moved into a new house and I am very excited to have my own room. I have my stuff in
my room and I've been working on it all day long. Yet, many of my books are still on the floor since I
don't have enough shelves and space for them. I have no idea how to keep them in my tiny room.
Should I put them in other rooms?

Racers' victory does not solely depend on the capacity of th5e racers, but also the team, as well as the
mechanic. they make sure that engines run well untill the end of the race. Look! as soon as the car is
coming, mechanics are running to it, checking and tuning the car. They must finish the work in a minute
in order not to waste time. They will have filled the tank with petrol when the racer is ready to return to
the race. The racer will have no time to waste. Mechanics had changed tires in less than a minute since
the car driver arrived. They had checked the oil when the racer rushes his car. All in all, they had fixed
existing trouble with the machines as soon as one minute passes.
