• Getting started...
The donut is made in one continuous piece. We first start
with a chain, and connect the chain to form a circle. We
work around this circle to make the donut!

Donut:
Start in dough color
Round 1: Ch 18 (Pic 1). Connect with a Sc to first Ch (Pic 2-7). Add a stitch marker
to the Sc just made (Pic 8). Sc in the next 17 st (18)

In the next round (Round 4) we will add 2 different colored stitch markers. These

Place the tail end of yarn from the donut onto a sewing needle.
Repeat *Insert the sewing needle through the hole and bring to the front of the
donut (Pic 2). Insert the needle through a top and bottom stitch, making sure
those stitches align (Pic 3-4). Your needle will now be at the back of the donut.*
Add stuffing to the donut after sewing 6 stitches together (Pic 8). Repeat this
every 6 stitches.

Insert needle with yarn into any stitch on the bottom right side of the donut, and
bring the needle out in any direction about 2 stitches away (Pic 1). Reinsert
needle into the original insertion spot (Pic 2). Pull needle out to the top right area
(Pic 3). Insert needle about 2 stitches away in any direction (Pic 4). Repeat this
process around the donut (Pic 5-6).
Add 1-2 other colored sprinkles, being sure to go in slightly different directions!
(Pic 7-8).

If you prefer, you can free hand this part! However, if you'd like, you can
follow what I did:
Insert needle with white yarn into the top right side of the donut (Pic 1). Pull
needle out at the top left side (Pic 2). Reinsert needle at the top right side as
shown (Pic 3). Pull needle out at the top left side as shown (Pic 4). Insert needle
into the bottom right side of the icing (Pic 5). Pull needle at the left side of the
icing (Pic 6). Insert needle at the right side of the donut, past the other icing
stitches (Pic 7). Pull needle out 2 stitches down (Pic 7). Insert needle 2 stitches
down again, and pull needle out where shown making sure the yarn is BELOW the
needle (Pic 8). Reinsert needle into the same stitch (Pic 9). Repeat this on the left
side of the donut, you can make extra lines if you'd like! (Pic 10-12).

Insert needle one stitch over from the right eye, and pull needle out one stitch
over from the left eye (Pic 1). Reinsert needle into the original insertion spot, and
pull needle out at the middle as shown making sure the smile yarn lands UNDER
the needle (Pic 2). Reinsert needle into the same middle stitch, making sure the
smile yarn lands ABOVE the needle (Pic 3). Pull needle out at the original
insertion spot (Pic 3). Tie both tail ends of yarn into firm knots. Bring into the
donut to hide, cut any excess yarn (Pic 4).
