1.Engineering and designing bicycle - Value added. Since one of the most important activities in the manufacturing phase of a new product is product design and creation, it paves the way for new and creative products. 2.Storing the finished bicycles - Non value - added. Simply storing the built product does not give it any new features or increase its productivity. 3.Moving the raw materials from the warehouse to the assembly area- Non value added. The value of a commodity is not increased by transporting raw materials to the manufacturing area. It's just a role that kicks off the production. There is no added value to the commodity. 4.Assembling wheels to the frame - Non value added. In the manufacturing process, fitting wheels to the frame is a job. It is required for the bicycle to be completed. It adds little value to the current product. It only serves to finish the commodity. 5.Providing customer service - Value added. Providing better customer service is often an operation that brings value to the customer and, as a result, proves to be a factor in the business's credibility and value. Providing customer service is undeniably a value-added service.
