Note- Question no. 1 ,2 and 4 are 2marks and 3,5,6and7 are 1marks each.
1- Two insulated charged copper spheres A and B of identical size have
charges qA and −3qA respectively. When they are brought in contact with
each other and then separated, what are the new charges on them?

2- The sum of two point charges is 9μC. They repel each other with a force
of 2 N when kept 30 cm apart in free space. Calculate the value of each
charge.
3- Two point charges having equal charges separated by 1 m distance
experience a force of 8 N. What will be the force experienced by them, if
they are held in water, at the same distance? (Given : Kwater = 80).
4- Deduce the expression for the electric field E due to a system of two
charges q1 and q2 with position vectors r⃗ 1 and r⃗ 2 at a point r⃗ with
respect to common origin.
5- How does the electric field inside a dielectric decrease when it is placed in
an external electric field?
6- What is the electric potential due to an electric dipole at an equatorial
point?
7- In which orientation, a dipole placed in uniform electric field is in (a)
stable , (b) unstable equilibrium?
