ART APPRECIATION-C

JOHN JAMES S. TABOSARES

ACTIVITY 3

1. What is art, its history, and theories?

Art is something a person can express in any ways he/she believes in. Art History is the
study of Aesthetic objects and visual expression in historical and stylistic context. Traditionally,
the discipline of art history emphasized painting, drawing, sculpture, architecture, ceramics and
decorative arts, yet today art history examines broader aspects of visual cultures, including the
various visual and conceptual outcomes relating to an ever-evolving definition of art. Art history
encompasses the study of objects created by different cultures around the world and throughout
history that convey meaning, importance or serve usefulness primarily through visual means.

2. What is the difference between art creativity and art appreciation?

Creativity is the soul of art. It allows the person to go beyond what others see. The
creativity is the cause and the effect is the appreciation. On the other hand, appreciation is the
embodiment of the creativeness of a certain artist. It allows us to see how marvelous the creative
is.

3. What is appreciation and art? Its assumptions, the process and the product?

Appreciation is acknowledgement the beauty of art. It is the judgment and evaluation of a

thing. And Art, is the product of creativeness. It’s the finished product of a person thinking
outside the box. As the saying goes “if you could just see through my eyes and see the beauty I
see”, Art is the special, shall I say unusual, description on what we differently see.

4. Describe art as a universal language, representation of reality and how its show the
manner of existence of people?

Art is everything around us. It is what we see, what we read, what we hear or even what
we feel. One expresses something not with the normal is Art to the bearer itself. We may not see
the truth but Art is just around waiting for our eyes to see, nose to smell, ears to hear and heart to
feel.
