Abstract & Professional Profile
Honduran architect with over ten years of experience with an
excellent breadth experience with INGOs, the humanitarian &
development sector in Honduras and other countries of Latin
America.
International experience includes several volunteering projects
involving participatory strategies across urban and rural
communities’ in Latin-American and a current role as a technical
consultant for Resurgence Ltd, providing remote support in Business
and Development tasks.

Professional Experience
o I performed data analysis for the impact evaluation of DARAJA
(Swahili for "bridge"). DARAJA aims to improve weather and
climate information services (WCIS) for urban users, mainly those
who live in informal settlements. It has been piloted in Dar Es
Salaam (Tanzania), Nairobi (Kenya), and recently in Jamaica.
o Reported the end line results to donors & partners to demonstrate the
impact of DARAJA within its two years of implementation.
Elaborated the toolbox for further implementations & the scale-up
strategy of DARAJA.
o Advisory work for the implementation of DARAJA in Latin
America & the Caribbean.
o Conducted an assessment of urban innovation projects for Panamá,
El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras. As well, monitored the Orange
Innovation Challenge, a call for funding business models with high
social & economic impact in cultural and creative industries.
o Planned the refurbishment of accommodation, health and WASH
facilities of the 24 existing prisons, following principles such as the
International Humanitarian Law (IHL), Sphere standards, etc.
o Led a unit conformed by architects & engineers and supervised all
the projects’ implementation phases, including contract outsourcing,
site supervision, quality control, evaluation, budget planning etc.
o Liaised with various stakeholders (e.g. government officials,
detainees, NGOs, CSOs) to assess Prison´s National Reform Plans
(NRP) to improve the living conditions for detainees.
o Four-year partnership with the ICRC, coordinating the design &
implementation of parameters to improve detainees' habitat and
living conditions, including non-food distribution plans.
o Collaborated as a local assistant for "Centro Historico Abierto". A
Participatory Process to transform the Central District of Honduras
within the ICES program (Initiatives of Emerging and Sustainable
Cities). I Co-designed and conducted research, community

the Reform & maintenance plans for public spaces in the historic
centre of Tegucigalpa. Design & Management of pilot projects
carrying out design workshops & community engagement activities
to promote citizen participation in projects of public space recovery.
