Some Technology Terms in Teaching

1. Technology is a mix process and mix product
2. ICT literacy - is the used o digital technology communications tools or networks, to
manage, integrate, to evaluate and also to create information and products
3. Educational technology - refers to use of the technology in teaching,
4. Digital literacy - refers to the find, evaluate, utilize, share and create.
5. Digital learning - is any type of learning that is accompanied by the technology.
6. Online digital tools - all tools that needs internet, like, google meet, online games etc.
7. Offline digital tools – all tools that not needed internet.
8. Instructional technology - the theory and practices of design, development utilization,
management and evaluation of the process and resources for learning
Example: for technology material for teaching
9. Software - refers to program to control instructions.
Example: Visual Studio, Java, C++, Python and other programming languages.
10. Multimedia - is a sequential or simultaneous used of variety of media formats.
11. Internet - a massive network of network, a networking infrastructure
12. WWW - World Wide Web, a graphical environment on computer networks that allows to
access, views and maintain documentation that can include text data, sound and video.
13. Web access, ability of the learner to access to the internet at any point during the lesson
in order to take advantage of available resources.
14. Productivity Tools – any type of software associated with computer and related with
technology that can be used as tools for personal or classroom activity.
15. Technology tools – instrument used for doing work.
 Data calculation tools, example: spreadsheet or excel
 Design tools, example: photoshop, Microsoft offices
 Discussion tools,
 Email tools, example: google
 Hand held devices
16. Blog – written article found in the internet
17. Flipped Classroom – gamit na gamit ngayon
18. Podcast – is a video or audio multimedia clip
19. Google Apps – google application, like google classroom, docs, gmail google meet etc.
20. Vlog – videos
21. Facebook – dapat alam yung tamang pag-gamit ng kahit anong social media
platforms……..alam nyo na ito haha.
