“CUTTING OFF THE RIGHT ARM”

On March 2, 2015, the General Conference of the

Seventh-day Adventist Church issued an official statement on
vaccination. In unison with many orthodox medical voices, this
statement encourages participation in mandatory vaccination
while claiming there is no faith-based reason for its members to
disapprove.

For many in the church, this represents the inevitable result

of medical and theological progress. However, other members
with legitimate concerns and faith-based objections are left
without a voice by the position taken by the organisation. Many
who love God and desire to keep His commandments do not
share the same view as those in leadership over this matter.
"Character building is the most important work ever entrusted to
human beings; and never before was its diligent study so
important as now. Never was any previous generation called
to meet issues so momentous; never before were young
men and young women confronted by perils so great as
confront them today. (Ed 225.3")
When properly conducted, the health work is an entering wedge,
making a way for other truths to reach the heart. When the third
angel's message is received in its fullness, health reform will be
given its place in the councils of the conference in the work of
the church, in the home, at the table, and in all the household
arrangements. Then the right arm will serve and protect the body.

COVID-19 VACCINES

The Lord God is a jealous God; yet He bears long with the
sins and transgressions of His people in this generation. If the
people of God
had walked in His counsel, the work of God would have
advanced, the messages of truth would have been borne to all
people that dwell on the face of the whole earth... But because
the people are disobedient, unthankful, unholy, as were ancient
Israel, time is prolonged that all may hear the last message of
mercy proclaimed with a loud voice. The Lord's work has been
hindered, the sealing time delayed. Many have not heard the
truth. But the Lord will give them a chance to hear and be

O DANIEL 1: A Test On Health

Every individual soul, if he would receive the seal of the living

God, must hear the Word of the Lord, and do it with exactitude.
There must be no such thing as haphazard religion if men would

holding the four winds, to make our calling and election sure.

Testimonies for the Church 5:216 What are you doing,

brethren, in the great work of preparation? Those who are
uniting with the world are receiving the worldly mold and
preparing for the mark of the beast. Those who are distrustful of
self, who are humbling themselves before God and purifying
their souls by obeying the truth these are receiving the heavenly
mold and preparing for the seal of God in their foreheads. When
the decree goes forth and the stamp is impressed, their

Now is the time to prepare. The seal of God will never be

placed upon the forehead of an impure man or woman. It will
never be placed
upon the forehead of the ambitious, world loving man or woman. It
will never be placed upon the forehead of men or women of false
tongues or deceitful hearts. All who receive the seal must be
without spot before God candidates for heaven. Go forward, my
brethren and sisters. I can only write briefly upon these points at
this time, merely calling your attention to the necessity of
preparation. Search the Scriptures for yourselves, that you may
understand the fearful solemnity of the

again I have been instructed that the medical missionary work is
to bear the same relation to the work of the third angel's message
that the arm and hand bear to the body. Under the direction of the
divine Head they are to work unitedly in preparing the way for the
coming of Christ. The right arm of the body of truth is to be
constantly active, constantly at work, and God will strengthen it.
But it is not to be made the body. At the same
time the body is not to say to the arm: “I have no need of
thee.” The body has need of the arm in order to do active,
aggressive work. Both have their appointed work, and each will

The gospel of health has able advocates, but their work

has been made very hard because so many ministers,
presidents of conferences, and others in positions of influence
have failed to give the question of health reform its proper
attention. They have not recognized it in its relation to the work of
the message as the right arm of the body. While very little
respect has been shown to this department by many of the
people and by some of the ministers, the Lord has shown His
regard for it by giving it abundant prosperity. (Ellen G. White,

PATIENCE)

The Lord desires his church to be a perfect body, not all

arms, not all body without arms, but body and arms
together,-and every member working as a part of the one great
whole. As the right arm is connected with the body, so the health
reform and medical missionary work is connected with the third
angel's message, and is to work efficiently as the right arm,
for the defense of the body of truth. (Ellen G. White, Review and

OBEDIENCE)

I wish we had a cook who could do justice to the work by

showing the people how to make good bread and other simple
articles of food. Instruction in medical missionary lines is just
what the people in Australia appreciate. In every place where
camp meetings have been held, this subject has created intense
interest. It is allied to the third angel's message as surely as the
right arm is joined to the body. (Ellen G. White, Manuscript

113.1 It is not safe to trust to physicians who have not the fear
of God before them. Without the influence of divine grace, the
hearts of men are "deceitful above all things, and desperately
wicked.” (Jeremiah 17:9.] Self aggrandizement is their aim.
Under cover of the medical profession, what iniquities have
been practiced, what delusions supported! The physician may
claim to possess great wisdom and marvelous skill, while at the
same time his character is abandoned, and his practice contrary
to the laws of health.
The Lord our God assures us that he is waiting to be
gracious; he invites us to call upon him in the day of trouble.
Furthermore, the teaching of these physicians is continually
leading away from the principles God has given us in regard to
health, especially on the diet question. They say we are not living
as we ought, and prescribe changes that are contrary to the light
God has sent. Brethren, how can the Lord let his blessing rest
upon us when we are going right upon the enemy's ground? -
