Paragraph 2: In Paragraph 2, you will write a paragraph about a person who is important to you.

Think
about the important people in your life. Whom do you love and admire? Is it a family member, a friend,
a teacher, or someone else? Choose someone who is alive, because we will use simple present tense to
describe this person.

The Writing Process

1. Brainstorm

First, make a list of people you may want to write about. Then, choose one person on your list to write
about. Circle the name of the person you wish to write about.

Now, brainstorm some ideas about your person. What do they look like (appearance)? What is their
personality like? What important activities do they do? Remember, when you brainstorm, do not write
sentences. Simple get some ideas written on the paper so that you can use them later when you write.
Try to fill the box with many ideas. You don’t have to use all of the ideas in your paragraph, but you will
have many ideas to choose from.
2. Organize Your Ideas: Place your ideas from your brainstorm into the correct boxes here. Organizing
your ideas will help write an organized paragraph.

Appearance Personality Life- Actions

Write a title. Your title should not be a
sentence, but should give a main idea
about your paragraph. It is a good idea to
3. Write: Write the first draft of your paragraph. write your title last, after you know what
your paragraph is about.
