Introduction

Once quality of Education is considered and viewed as the reliance of

success. This research study is all about Grade 12 students college plans.

The Educational Background of the Philippines is insufficient to fulfill the

needs of equality to pursue the desired career choice.

Through K-12 curriculum program, students undergo immersion which

provides relevant exposure and experience in their chosen track. Due to K-

12 Basic Education Program, different perceptions of students emerged and

the way they would choose to their career become more difficult.

Objectives

The researchers conducted the survey to get the information or to come up

with the results that is needed for the survey. This research study aims to:

- Help the Grade 12 Students to choose their career.

- Help finalize their college decisions.

- Guide the grade 12 students to their plans in going to college.

Scope and Limitation

This study is apprehended only to all Grade 12 students taking

different strands and its relationship to their career choice. The students of

St. Peter’s College of Ormoc is the respondent of this research study. Only
the perceptions, answers and experiences of Grade 12 students serves as

the guidelines.

Research Design

The study used a survey type of research. The result of the research

based on the data gathered and analyzed the findings are tested to

determine the career choice of Grade 12 Students of St. Peter’s College of

Ormoc.

The researchers conducted a room to room survey in St. Peter’s

College of Ormoc Leyte to the Grade 12 students with regards to their career

choice. Each strands consists of 22 students. The researchers gathered the

answers as a guide to make the study successful.

A questionnaire was used to gather data. Each survey has ten

questions which includes the career choice of the Grade 12 students and

their preferred school for tertiary. The questions can only be answered by

the different academic strands in Grade 12 students.

Analysis

Table 1 shows the results of the conducted survey. Most of the

questions answered by the females. In the table, most of Grade 12 students

preffered private school and most of the Grade 12 doesn’t prefer studying in

Ormoc.
Interpretation

The data shows that most of the respondents are females. The results

have also shown that the Grade 12 students preferred private school in

going to college . In the 5th to 6th questions, it asks about the payment that

the respondents prefer in going to college. Most of the respondents prefer

scholarship. The 9th question’s result states that the Grade 12 students

prefer focusing in both academics and extracurricular in college. The 10 th

tells that the Grade 12 students prefer being a regular student in college.

Conclusion

The study presents the Grade 12 student’s college plans and their desired

career choice. The researchers have concluded that the Grade 12 students

are ready in going to college and already have plans in going to college. The

researchers also conducted that most of the respondents prefer bachelor in

science and business college course.

Recommendation

The researchers would like to recommend to the respondents to think

wise in choosing their career plans and in doing their plans successfully.

According to the researchers survey, most of the Grade 12 students


responded that they prefer scholarship in college. The Grade 12 students

should do their best to achieve their dream.
