Reflection Number 5
“The A Team”

“Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them to become what they are
capable of being.”

For the past two weeks, I have been undergoing training in my career. I met a lot of new
people which later on became my friends. I thought that I wouldn’t be able to get along with
them but it turns out that when you make the first move, people will start to talk to you more.
Before, when I was in college, I was always the quiet one. I like to describe myself as an
introvert, in a way, because I only socialize when something or someone is interesting for me. A
lot of people say that being an introvert is a bad thing, but its actually different from what most
people perceive. Its just that, in my case, I tend to keep my inner circle smaller because I really
do value the few friends that I have.

But sometimes in life, I can definitely say that there are hidden treasure boxes along the
way. These new people that I met and got to be friends with in a short period of time are very
precious jewels that I need and want to treasure. Its like fate brought us together. We help each
other during training and we set aside our competitiveness. Maybe that’s why I learned a lot
because I freed myself from my mindset about achievements and competition. Sometimes, the
good things in life are not always the titles that society labeled you, or your possessions, or your
achivements. Sometimes, its the small things and gestures that matter, like making new friends,
having fun once in a while, and the inspiration that you get from the different stories of different
people. And one thing’s for sure, I am really happy and honored in meeting those people. They
are already one of my most treasured possessions in life.

Dear Lord, I thank you for another week of blessings and guidance. Thank you for protecting me
and my family with your most precious blood. Thank you for those people that I met and
inspired me to stay strong and have a brave heart despite of any situations and circumstances.
Lord God, grant them your protection and bless them and their families. Amen.
