Reflection Number 9

“When Later turns to Never”

Wasted time is a wasted opportunity, but sometimes, it feels like the needs of the flesh
overpowers your mindset. There are times that I feel like I have all the time in the world and I
tend to be lazy and just idle all day. “I’ll do it later.” And that later will eventually turn to
unfinished task.

I still haven’t mastered the art of time management, especially when there’s a lot of
things to do and you don’t know how or where to start. Its really hard when all of those things
pile up and you don’t even have the time to breathe and relax. Until, you don’t even care
anymore about all your deadlines and just sit there clearing your mind about everything.

“Concentrate all of your thoughts upon the work in hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until
brought to a focus.”
-Alexander Graham Bell

As I reflect on myself on that day, I realized that I cannot move forward unless I do
something and finish those tasks. I will never be productive in life and I’m afraid that it might
turn into a habit. I have to know my priorities and work hard for it.

As Lee Iacocca said, “If you want to make good use of your time, you’ve got to know what’s
most important and then give it all you’ve got.”

Prayer Request:

Dear God, thank you for the gift of life and for all the blessings that you have given to me and
my family. I ask for your forgiveness Lord God and enlighten me to prioritize the most important
things in life. Please guide me always and help me to be productive, not just in my daily
activities but also to be productive in the works for you glory. Amen.
