I can describe my life as miserable.

My mother hates me because I am a curse child for her, she made

me the reason that his beloved person left her. She would always tell me that I shouldn’t have been
born, then the man she loved would have stayed forever by her side. Love will really make you look like
a fool. It will just hurt and kill you. Love should have not exist.

Then my life changed when mother died. She died because of working too much. I was left in this
apartment without anyone. A worker from the foster home said to me that they will find me a new
family. I am only sixteen and I have nothing else left in this world.

One day, I was packing my things for the family that wanted to take me in. It was still morning when my
door bell suddenly ring. I thought I will be send this afternoon. I was confused when I opened the door.
It was a man wearing a suit and tie.

“Good morning Miss. Tanaka Haruhi. I am here to take you.”

“I am sorry but the worker from the foster office didn’t told me anything about picking me up by my
foster family. I will just wait here.”

“It was an order from our boss to take you with me. I can’t leave unless you will come with me.”

“But…”

“Don’t worry Miss. I am not here to harm you.”

“I will just call from the foster office.”

“We have already informed them.”

“But…”

I don’t know that time if I should have believe him or not. Right now I am inside the car with these
unknown strangers. Couple of minutes, we arrive in a place. From what I can tell the house is big and
only rich people can afford it. The house is located near the sea. It have two floors and it is a modern
house.

“Let’s go Miss. Tanaka.”

I just nod my head. Then the man who is with me leads me to a study room. I was their alone and told to
wait for someone. The door open and I didn’t try to look back. I keep my head down to avoid any
circumstances that might happen.

“Welcome to my Miss. Tanaka Haruhi.”

You can sense that the man talking to me is over fifty or sixty years old.

I still keep my head down. “Thank you for welcoming me here sir.”

“I am Ito Ichiro, the owner of this house and you will be leaving here from now own.”

“Are you my foster father, sir?”

“We are family now and I am happy letting you live here.”

The door suddenly open making me turn around revealing a boy maybe same age as mine.

“Hello father, I am here to see my beloved future wife.”

I couldn’t believe what I heard and made me froze from where I am sitting. What beloved future wife is
he talking about?

”Yamato!”

“Sorry father. I am disappointed to see my future wife. She’s not that beautiful at all.”

“Yamato…”

“What future wife are you talking about?” The only words I can spoke after what I heard. Hearing those
words that this Yamato said made me stand up because of shock.

“Sorry to spoil the fun. It seems no one inform you. What a pitiful human.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You’re engaged with me.”

“What? “

“Yes. It’s the truth. You think I am crazy, but it’s the bloody truth.”

“Yamato, leave once and for all.” Mr. Ichiro’s voice sounded angry.

“Sure father. I’ll come back after you settle things in here.”

Yamato leave and I was still standing with my legs frozen because of the sudden confession of that crazy
Yamato.

“Miss. Tanaka, let me explain things to you.”

“But…I thought you will be just my foster family.”

“No. We will be your real family from now on.”

“I don’t know anything about this.” My voice is still calm but my legs and hands would stop shaking.

“Let me tell you the reason.”

Mr. Ito’s father was a friend of my grandfather, father’s dad. The two of them are like brothers. He was
very welcomed in the house of my grandparents. My grandfather help his father. Grandfather found Mr.
Ito’s father in the river side who is lying unconscious. Grandfather was scared at first because of the
deep wounds he saw, but when he notice that the man is still breathing he help him. Grandfather
brought him to his house, my grandmother help taking care of him. He stayed there for couple of
months. Because of that his father was indebted to my grandpa.

Then Mr. Ito’s father promise to marry his daughter to my grandfather’s child, which is my father.
Grandfather also agree because Mr. Ichiro’s father help him too. But it turns out my father had a secret
lover, which is my mom. My grandpa couldn’t bear to break the man’s promise to him, he felt a shame
because of what father did. Grandfather said that he can only love my mother and should not get her
pregnant. Mr. Ito’s father was so angry to my father, because he made a promise to my grandfather
already in exchange for the help my grandfather did to Mr. Ichiro’s father.

But then my mom became pregnant of me. Mr. Ito’s father found out about it. Then he told my father if
he will choose my mother over her daughter, he will kill me and my mom. My father left my mother
because of fear. He choose to marry the daughter of the Ito’s, but the problem the Ito’s daughter can’t
bear a child. My father died in sadness of leaving us and he can’t no longer come back to us because of
fear.

When my grandfather knew that mother is having a girl. Grandfather said that the promise will not be
broken. Since I was only the family member left. Mr. Ito’s father agree to let me marry his grandchild
Yamato who is still one year old that time. I was scared after hearing those confession of Mr. Ito. I want
to leave this place. They are the reason why my mother hated me so much.

“Miss. Tanaka, I know you feel angry right now. But my father already promised to your grandparents.
We can’t easily break what we promised.”

“My parents died because of your family. Now, you want me to marry your son?”

“Yes Miss. Tanaka.”

“You can just break it.”

“I am sorry, but I must promised what my father said to me.”

I can’t describe myself right now, maybe my life. If my life was miserable, it is more than now. Mr. Ichiro
guided me to the door and when he open it. The man who pick me up is still standing and waiting.

“Kiyoshi, please bring Miss. Tanaka to her room.”

“Yes Mr. Ito.”

“Just follow Kiyoshi, Miss. Tanaka.”

“Sorry for the late introduction Miss. Tanaka. I am Watanabe Kiyoshi. Mr. Ito’s right hand.”

I couldn’t say anything after all the revelation that happened. I just want to escape this place.

“Just bring her Kiyoshi, she is still in shock after hearing the story.”

“As you wish Mr. Ito.”

I am now all alone, I must now find a way to escape this house, this family. My room is located in the
second floor and it face the sea. I need to escape tonight and go far away. Luckily my window doesn’t
have any barricades or grills.

My dinner was send here in my room. Then the man Kiyoshi informed me that Mr. Ito will be going out
for a while. It will be a great chance for me to leave this monstrous and cage place.

Now it’s almost midnight and everyone is already sleeping ad Mr. Ito is still not home. I started my plan
and escape through the window with the use of the blankets. As usual, I tied it and I made sure it’s
tightly strong. I step out the window slowly and I am almost in the ground when suddenly the blanket
cut off. I thought I will land in the ground with my whole body, but I landed into someone.

“You’re heavy for a girl. I think you always eat rocks.”

When I open my eyes, it was Mr. Ito’s son, Yamato.

“Let me down!”

He did really let me go, making my butt fall first on the ground.

“Are you trying to escape?”

“As you can see, I am.”

“To tell sadly, you can’t leave this place.”

“Why can’t I?”

Yamato slowly came close to me. As he was coming towards me, I notice that his eyes are changing
colors. It was black then it became red. Seeing what happened to Yamato’s eyes, I couldn’t move my
whole body and my body hair is all standing up.

“What? Is it your first time seeing a demon Miss. Tanaka.”

“What demon?”

“Yes you heard it right. I am one. Our family is a demon.”

“You must be joking.”

“We aren’t. How did you think my grandfather survive those deep wounds he have in my father’s
story?”

“It must be a miracle.”

“No it isn’t.”

“Then your grandfather isn’t indebted to my family.”

“We can’t do anything about it. Even though I don’t want to follow the stupid promise. I can’t do
anything about it because it was my grandfather’s wish to do so. My father will kill me if I don’t obliged.”

“Then kill me?”

“I am really here to kill you Miss. Tanaka.”

“Then do so.”

Yamato was about do something when Kiyoshi arrive.

“Yamato.”

“The hero is here. What a kill joy you are.”

“Yamato, don’t make me fight with you if I have to.”

“Why are you protecting this girl Kiyoshi?”

“She’s my responsibility Yamato.”

“Really?”

“Just leave Yamato or else.”

“Fine I’ll leave. Will continue our bloody murder next time Miss. Tanaka.” Yamato leave.

“Are you alright Miss. Tanaka?”

“I am”

“How did you get out?” Then Kiyoshi look to my window’s room. “Were you trying to escape?”

I couldn’t reply back.

“Miss. Tanaka. You can’t leave this place.”

“But they killed my father and my mother hated me because of what they did.”

“I know that.”

“How?”

“Ever since you were young. I was already guarding you. It was painful for me to watch how your own
mother treated you badly.”

“But why would you do that?”

“Mr. Ito’s instruction.”

“I just want to leave this place.”

“I am sorry.”

“Wait. I almost forgot about the demon thing he said to me. Is it true?”

“I don’t want to be the one to tell you this, but since Yamato told you. Yes, this family is a demon and so
am I.”

“What a lie.”

“Yes Miss. Tanaka.”

“It’s impossible.”

“The Ito family is one of the highest noble demon in this place. Mr. Ito Ichiro is the current leader of all
the demons. Soon Yamato will be given with this title after you two will be married.”

“What?”

“Unfortunately Yamato doesn’t want to be the next leader.”

“Then I will not marry him, because his not interested in becoming your leader.”

“His father will kill him.”

“Then I’ll kill myself.”

“You can’t Miss. Tanaka.”

“Why not?”

“You should leave and enjoy a happy life. Yamato isn’t that bad.”

“But he tried to kill me.”

“He has his reason too.”

“Like what?”

“You don’t need to know that.”

“I want to ask something. Why didn’t I met Yamato’s mother?”

“She died a long time ago.”

I didn’t ask anymore. I may be curious with things. But I need to control myself or else I will be dead.

Class started. I am enrolled in a new school. After the incident. Mr. Ito put grills in my room. Now Kiyoshi
started calling me Haruhi. Because calling me Miss. Tanaka is too formal and we are now friends. Even
Mr. Ito is starting calling me Haruhi because of Kiyoshi.

“Class, this will be your new classmate. Tanaka Haruhi. Please sit over there Miss. Tanaka.”

When the class finished. I open my bag and get my lunch to eat. I still don’t have any friends. Then the
girl sitting in my side talk to me.

“Hello I am Igarashi Ayaka.”

I slightly bow my head to her.

Then she introduce the boy infront of her. ”This is Futuba Ren. I hope the three of us can be friends?”

“I want to ask you something. Do you believe that demons exist?”

“I am half demon. My mother is human and my father is demon. I belong to the third class demon.”
Ayaka said to me.

“I belong to the low class demon. How about you Haruhi?” Ren said.

“I am pure human.”

“How did you know about us?” Ren suddenly asked because of shock.

“I lived in the Ito family.”

“Don’t tell your Yamato’s bride?”

“I think so.”

“Amazing.” Ren said.

“Don’t worry Haruhi. There are still humans in this school. But they doesn’t know about us. If they will
know. The organization will erase their memories.” Ayaka said to me.

“Really? Why wasn’t I?”

“You’re an exception of course. You’re Yamato’s bride.” Ren adding up.

“Is that so?”

“Wait why did you hesitate being Yamato’s bride?” Ayaka asking Haruhi with curiousity.

“I don’t want to be married to him.”

“What? But Yamato is the most powerful demon here in our school and you don’t want to be his bride.”
Ren said to me.

“I was just forced to do it. Like a responsibility.”

After all my class is done. I went home, I told Kiyoshi that I can get home on my own, so he bought me a
bike, but I can still feel that someone is guarding me from a distance. I was in my locker shoe to change
to my outsider shoes. When a boy approach me.

“So you’re Yamato’s bride?”

“Who are you?”

“Nobody.”

“How did you know me?”

“Everyone already knows about Yamato’s bride, but I didn’t expect that you are ugly.”

“What?!”

“I can’t compare you to her.”

“What is your problem?”

“Well, Yamato’s special one.”

“So what?”

“Bye. I have a nice time irritating you.”

“What?”

He left then. I became curious about what he meant by Yamato’s special one. After I got home, I head to
my room and lay in the bed with my uniform on. Then someone knock on the door and I get up from
bed. When I open the door it was Kiyoshi.

“Welcome home Haruhi.” Kiyoshi said with a smile to me.

“Kiyoshi, I want to ask you something.”

“What is it Haruhi?”

“A man talk to me in the school. His hair is golden brown. Do you know who he is?”

“Golden hair. Ito Masashi, his Yamato’s cousin.”

“Ito Masahi.”

“You better keep your distance from Haruhi. Masashi is not what you see he is.”

I want to ask but I just said yes to Kiyoshi.

“By the way. Mr. Ito said that you should joined him in dinner with Yamato.”

“Okay. Thank you.”

The three of us eat dinner silently and I don’t want this cold silence happening. Yamato is staring at me
with a message in his eyes. Making me more want to leave this place quickly.

“Yamato, your scaring Haruhi.”

“She should be.”

“Just don’t mind him Haruhi. Keep eating.”

I just nod my head.

“I am happy to see that you are slowly accepting your new life with us.”

“I just need to adapt with everything Mr. Ito.”

Mr. Ito just smiled to me and Yamato is still staring to me with a death message in his eyes.

Another day for school again.

“Good morning Haruhi!” Ayaka greeting me.

“Good morning Ayaka.”

Ren then arrive. “Good morning to the both of you.”

“Good morning Ren.” I said to him.

“Good morning Ren. Have you heard?” Ayaka also said.

“What?” Ren answered Ayaka.

“Sakura is back.”

“Who is Sakura?” Haruhi asking Ayaka.

“You don’t know who she is?” Ren said with a surprise.

“No.”

“She is the most beautiful demon here in our school, Handa Sakura.” Ren said to me.

“Really?”

“Yup. A lot of guys admire her because of her beauty and she is smart too.” Ayaka said to me.

“Do you also know Ito Masashi?”

“What’s with him?” Ren asked.

“Stay away from him Haruhi, his not a good person.” Ayaka said to me.

“Okay Ayaka.”

In the school rooftop.

“Students are forbidden here Miss. Handa Sakura.”

“Then why are you here Masashi?”

“I heard you’ve arrived.”

“I heard his bride is her already.”

“Yup. But they are still not married. They will wait until her right age comes or whatever their reason is.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes it is. You know she’s too ugly.”

“I heard you were causing trouble again Masashi. Did you disturb our new guest?”

“Nope, but I guess nothing really passed with you.”

“I have a lot of eyes here Masashi.”

“When is my psycho twin sister coming home?”

“Soon. She is still enjoying her life in other country.”

“I bet she will get pregnant because of flirting too much.”

“I made sure your sister will behave carefully. Why would you even say that?”

“I am her other half.”

“Your sister may flirt, but she knows her limitations.”

“Let’s stop talking about my sister. Don’t you really want to see him?”

“Why would I? If he missed me, he will come. You’re here with me too and why would I look for
someone who is not here.”

“Are you sure Sakura?”

“I am Masashi.”

I was heading to the library when Masashi and I passed with each other. Then he talk making me stop.

“Did you know already that Yamato’s special one is back?”

“I heard from my friends that someone is back. She’s his special one.”

“I thought you were a loner.”

“I guess you’re the loner.”

“You’re not jealous?”

“Why would I be? You can have him if you want too. I can even wrap him up for you.”

“We are cousin. Don’t you know that?”

“I’m sorry. I think I need to repair my brain.”

“Idiot.”

I continue to walk. That man really knows how to boil my blood and his cousin is just like him too. While
I was at the library looking for books. A girl passed in the other side of the shelf. She has this tempting
scent that made me follow her. I didn’t notice that we are almost at the end. Then I stopped from
walking, when she suddenly appeared in front of me.

“Hello to you.”

“Please forgive me. I am not a stalker.”

“It’s alright.”

“You’re perfume smells nice.”

“Really it was a gift to me from someone. I know you, you are Tanaka Haruhi.”

“How did you know me?”

“I am Handa Sakura.”

“Nice meeting you I am Tanaka Haruhi.”

“You’re cute after all. I bet Masashi has a bad eyesight.”

“You know him?”

“Yes.”

“I don’t like him.”

“His my distant cousin.”

“I am sorry.”

“I should be the one who needs to apologize.”

“You shouldn’t be.”

“You’re such a good girl.”

“No I’m not.”

“I’ll be going now. Nice meeting you again.”

Sakura is such an angel to see, but she has a secret.

When I got home. Mr. Ito and Kiyoshi is not present in the house only the maids. I was about to head in
my room, when Yamato was in the in the last top part of the stairs. Then he dismissed the maids and
after all of them are gone. He spoke.

“Aren’t you going to escape?”

“I can escape now.”

“I’ve already packed your things. Here is your bag. You can leave now.”

He tossed my backpack towards me. “Thank you very much.”

“Leave while you still can. I’ll help you with the guards and don’t ever come back. Go far away. ”

“Why are you helping me?”

“I don’t like you remember that.”

Then I headed to the door. The maids are busy minding their works. The guards were distracted by him
and it made me escape the place easily. I was walking in the street alone. Their place is so quiet. I
noticed that someone is following me. I quickly walk fast and it started to walk fast too. I started to run
and then it appeared in front of me.

“Hello lost kitty.” It was a girl with a man’s voice.

“What do you want with me?”

“I am just her to meet my future sister-in-law. My brother said to me that you are ugly. I guess his right.”

“Who are you?”

“Sorry for being rude. I am Ito Akako. Masashi’s twin sibling.”

“Your voice.”

“I can imitate anyone’s voice. Want to hear?”

“No. I am in a hurry.”

“You know I hate being ignored.”

“I am really sorry. You can play with your brother.”

“He doesn’t want to be my playmate.”

“Next time maybe.”

“You want to?”

“Why not right now?”

“Sorry. You need to find someone else.”

“But Sakura doesn’t like playing with me anymore. She even abandon.”

“Sakura is a nice girl.”

“Don’t be deceive by her beauty.”

“I am really in a hurry.”

“Why don’t we go some other place to play?”

Haruhi black out after Akako did something to her to make her sleep.

At the house of the Ito’s.

“Yamato, where is Haruhi?”

“I don’t know.”

“Tell me.”

“Maybe she got scared and left.”

“She wouldn’t do that.”

“How would you know that? She hates this place.”

“Yamato you better get ready. If I will not find Haruhi you’ll be dead.”

“Don’t tell me you like her?”

“She’s my responsibility.”

Mr. Ito suddenly appear. “Yamato, what is this I heard about Haruhi that she ran away?”

“I don’t know.”

“Tell me did you do something foolish while I am not here?”

“Why would I do something? I don’t even like her.”

“That is why I am suspecting you.”

“Do you have any proof father?”

“Then I will find some proofs. “

Yamato didn’t respond back and he can sense that his father is seriously angry.

“If something will happen to her. Your life will be the price. You will not see again that person you
wanted to see for a long time.”

Yamato just fist his hands after hearing his father. For him it was already a death sentence. Yamato rush
out after that and went to look for Haruhi. The person he really wanted to see for a long time came
back, but the problem is that he was angry to see that person, because she leave without saying
anything to him. While Haruhi who was still half conscious felt that the wind is strong and she can hear
Akako humming.

“Haruhi, wake up. You should see this nice view.”

When Haruhi is wide awake. She was frighten of what she saw. The two of them are on top of a tower.

“Isn’t the view great?”

“Akako, why are we here?”

“To play.”

“But I…”

“Don’t you want to be my friend?”

Haruhi started to get scared a little by Akako. She is weird and creepy. That’s why she answers without
provoking Akako. “We can be friends. Can’t we go down?”

“Don’t you like it here?”

“Of course I like, but it’s too windy.”

“Don’t tell me you’re scared? That’s is what I like of humans.”

“I am not scared.”

“Yes you are. Hahaha! This is great. I have a friend that is a scaredy cat.”

“I am a little bit scared Akako.”

“You are?”

“How I wish my dear cousin see this. Shall I’ll call him?”

“No!”

“Why you hate him? But Yamato’s a nice person. ”

“I think so.”

“See. His nice. He even let you come out at night.”

“No his not. I just want to run away.”

“Maybe you’re jealous of Sakura. Sakura is a bitch.”

“Why?”

“She’s a great actress you know.”

“Sakura is nice and lots of people admire her.”

“Do you like her?”

Haruhi notice that Akako doesn’t like Sakura.

“I don’t know.”

“Well if you are jealous of Sakura because Yamato likes her. Then you can have my brother.”

“Thank you but it won’t happen.”

“Why not? We can even play more.”

“I think you need to break my engagement with your cousin.”

“Right. Yamato might get angry with me.”

“Can we go down?”

“I’ll call my cousin because I am getting bored. See you in some other day.”

Haruhi was left at the tower alone. Couple of minutes Yamato came.

“That’s why I couldn’t find you.”

“Help to get down.”

“I bet you have fun with my cousin.”

“Why would you say that?”

“I think she will not stop being your friend.”

“Just help me. Why are you even here?”

“Father commanded me to find you.”

“I don’t want to go back.”

“Then I will not help you.”

“Okay, fine.”

The two of them return home. Yamato and Haruhi head to Mr. Ito’s study room.

“Haruhi, are you alright?” Kiyoshi ask with worries.

“I am Kiyoshi. You don’t need to worry.”

“Kiyoshi you can go out now.” Mr. Ito’s voice sounded serious.

“Yes Mr. Ito.” Then Kiyoshi left.

“Haruhi, did something happened to you?”

“I am completely fine Mr. Ito.”

“Why did you run away? Is it because of Yamato?”

Haruhi couldn’t answer directly.

“I bet Yamato is the reason. Yamato go out.”

Haruhi have a feeling that something bad will happen. “What will happen with him Mr. Ito?”

“He needs to learn a lesson.”

“It was my fault Mr. Ito. I am to blame.”

“I am sorry Haruhi. But Yamato must be punished.”

“Punished me also Mr. Ito.”

“I can’t do that. A woman must be treated a queen.”

Then Haruhi kneel down to beg mercy for Yamato. Yamato was shock of what he is witnessing.

“What are you doing?” Yamato said to Haruhi.

“Stand up Haruhi.” Mr. Ito said in utter shock

“I will not Mr. Ichiro.”

“Nothing will change.”

“But it was my fault. He has nothing to do with this.”

“You can’t easily escape this place Haruhi.”

Mr. Ichiro’s mind is made up. He must punish Yamato for his action. Tomorrow will be weekend. Haruhi
couldn’t sleep well that night. She was reading a book when she heard someone walking outside. She
quickly check it out and saw Yamato getting inside his room. She hop out from her room and go to
Yamato’s room. She knock first.

“Yamato?!”

“What do you want?! Are we close enough for you to call my name?”

“I just want to check if you’re alright.”

“I am fine. Go back to sleep.”

“But…”

“I said go back to sleep.”

Haruhi had enough with Yamato’s bossy attitude. She open the door without Yamato’s approval and
Yamato realize that he forgot to lock his door. When Haruhi is finally in Yamato’s room, the first thing
she saw is his cloth in the floor and she smell something. When Haruhi look up, she was shock to see
Yamato’s body with lashes.

“Are you an idiot? Didn’t you heard what I said?”

“Wait I’ll go get things to clean your words.”

“I don’t need your help. It will heal own its own.”

“So did I ask? It will be better to clean your wounds.”

“What?!”

Then Haruhi go downstairs to look for things to clean Yamato’s wound. While at the study.

“Was it right to punish Yamato, Mr. Ito?”

“It is the only reason I can think so two of them will get comfortable and close with each other.”

“I guess you’re right Mr. Ito.” Kiyoshi answered with satisfaction.

“They need to get along quickly. It was a lesson for both of them too.”

Haruhi came back to the room and help Yamato clean his wounds. Yamato have a big wound in his chest
part. When Haruhi clean it. Yamato scream in pain making his eyes turn to red which Haruhi didn’t
notice.

“Are you not a man?”

“Will you clean it gently?”

When Haruhi look up that’s when she notice Yamato’s eyes. “Sorry.”

“Go back to your room now. I can do it by myself.”

“Just shut up would you.”

“Ouch!”

“I shouldn’t have done that.”

“You don’t want to leave this place?”

“How can I again do that? If your father is too scary.”

“Weren’t you before scared of him?”

“It was different that time. I was clueless of everything.”

“You’re giving up?”

“No I’m not. I will leave this house and live alone in some place.”

“Boring.”

“For you, but not for me.”

“Yes it really is.”

“I want to say something. Do you like Handa Sakura?”

“From the people around me.”

“You won’t say their names. Who are they?”

“You’re avoiding my question.”

“Yes. That’s why I don’t want to marry you.”

“But I heard from Miss. Handa that Ito Masashi is his distant cousin.”

“Mother’s side.”

“Right I forgot about they have a mother also.”

“You’ve spoken with Masashi?”

“Once as I remember.”

“I bet he said bad words to you.”

“It’s true after all. I am ugly.”

“Yes you are.”

“Don’t worry. I will not make myself pretty.”

“You will never be.”

“We’re done.”

“By the way, thanks.”

“The great Ito Yamato thank me.”

“Now get out.”

“Okay. Wait, how about we come up with a plan?”

“What?”

“I heard that after marrying you can be the leader.”

“Yes. Why?”

Ito forgive her. She give her a second chance. In school Haruhi is thinking about how to escape again. If
only she can use spell or have an ability to make someone do such thing. She was thinking so deeply that
she didn’t notice Akako.

“Hello lost kitty.”

Haruhi froze after hearing Akako’s voice. Her friends too were shock seeing Ito Akako.

“I am so happy to see you again.”

“Akako…”

“Can we play again?”

“Akako!” Masashi shouting standing in the entrance door.

“Masashi, she’s my new playmate.” Akako facing while smiling to Haruhi.

“See you later lost kitty.” Then Masahi pulled Akako’s arm.

“Your friends with Ito Akako?” Ayaka asked in shock.

“I think so.”

“The twin siblings.” Ren said to himself.

“Don’t you know that those two are a complete mess?” Ayaka said to Haruhi.

“I know. I was abducted by Akako and bullied by Masashi.”

”What?” the two of them said in chorus.

“That’s all in the past now.”

“I think your becoming like them.” Ren said to Haruhi.

“What?”

“Are you not scared of them two?” Ren asked Haruhi.

“I am, but I can’t do anything about it.”

“Right.” Then Ren turn to Ayaka.

“Also if Yamato and you will be married. You will see them more often.” Ayaka said to herself.

“If that will happen.” Haruhi said to Ayaka.

“I know it will Haruhi.”

“I don’t know about that Ayaka.”

“We will not know what will happen in the future or even tomorrow Haruhi.”

Haruhi just stared to Ayaka, then their teacher arrive.

That night Haruhi was alone in her room and she heard a knock.

“You can come in Kiyoshi.”

“Hello lost kitty.” It was Akako behind the door.

“Akako…”

The door open revealing Akako, Masashi and Yamato.

“Lost kitty!”

“Why are you so excited to see her?” Yamato said to Akako.

“It sounds weird that you are already comfortable with this ugly” Masashi said to Akako too.

“Wait. Why are you all here?” Haruhi in shock

“My sister insist in having a sleep over here with you. I was just dragged here by her.”

“Eh?” Haruhi reacting.

“Gladly uncle agreed.” Akako said happily.

“Don’t worry my sister won’t bite. If she will, you better shout loudly.”

“Don’t you remember what she did to her Masashi?” Yamato reminding him.

“She won’t do anything childish in this house.” Masashi said to Haruhi.

“Right…” Haruhi said, but in still worried for herself.

“Lost kitty, we will have fun tonight.”

“Then we will leave you both.” Yamato said.

“Bye now ugly.” Masahi wave with a creepy smile.

“Wait!” Haruhi begging for them to not go.

“Tonight will be exciting.” Akako said delight.

“What does he mean with that smile?”

The two are left alone in the room.

“Eh, lost kitty. What do you want to do? I am getting bored.”

“What do you want to do Akako?”

In Yamato’s room.

“It’s rare for your sister to get along with someone easily.” Yamato to Masashi.

“She hates Haruhi because she’s getting marry with you, but she likes her also.”

“What?!”

“You heard it right. The same with Sakura. But this time she really hate Sakura. That is I don’t know.”

‘Why would she hate her?”

“I think something happened between them while they were abroad. It’s just like you and me. I hate you
too. But don’t worry I won’t do anything stupid.”

Then the two stop talking when they heard shouts from Haruhi’s room. They rush to check it out.

“Get it off!” Akako shouting getting something from her back.

“Wait! Don’t move.”

“What’s wrong?” Masashi asked with an angry tone.

“I got it!”

“Get it quickly!”

“Akako what’s the matter?” Yamato ask too.

“There.” Haruhi finally manage to get it.

“Ahhh!”

“I’ll throw it away.” Then she head to the window.

“What did you do to my sister?”

When Haruhi look back, Masashi is already behind her making her startle and froze.

“Masashi, lost kitty was just helping to get the lizard. She can’t kill me.”

“Right. I forgot she’s a weakling.” Masashi look back to Akako.

“Yes you heard it. I was just helping her.” Haruhi said to Masashi.

“I remember. Akako is scared with lizards. It’s strange that a demon like you is scared of something.”
Yamato said.

“I just don’t like them.”

“I thought something bad happened to you.” Masashi calming himself.

“Lost kitty just help me.”

Then Kiyoshi appeared with Mr. Ito.

“What’s wrong here?” Mr. Ito asking them all.

“It’s alright father. Haruhi was just helping Akako to get rid with the lizard.” Yamato explaining.

“I thought something bad happened.”

“Everything is alright here uncle.”

“Okay. I’ll tell the maids to get rid of the lizards.”

“Thank you uncle.”

“I’ll take my leave now.”

“Mr. Ito!”

“Yes Haruhi?”

“Can you tell the maids not to harm them?”

“I will not forget to tell them Haruhi.”

“Thank you Mr. Ito.”

“No worries.If anything happen, you can call directly to Kiyoshi.”

Mr. Ito and Kiyoshi leave.

“Let’s go back to my room Masashi.” Yamato pulled Masashi.

The two boys left.

“Are you alright Akako?”

“I really those creatures.”

“It was just hard to get off because it was moving in your shirt.”

“But now I am alright. It really felt weird crawling in my body.”

Akako reveal to Haruhi that Sakura used to torture her if they have trip alone in abroad. Sakura has a
temper that can’t be controlled. If she will get annoyed, angry or jealous. She would do cruel things to
Akako to vent her problem. If she will tell her brother, she will kill both of them or Yamato.

“Why would she do that to you?”

“Sakura changed after she found that Yamato is already engaged. She would do those things suddenly to
me. She know about my fears and used them to me. She can’t do it with human or with other demon. So
her reputation will not be ruined. She would do those things to me because higher demons will heal
quickly.”

“I am sorry you suffer those kind of things Akako.”

“You suffered like me too. I know about your life.”

“How?”

“Masashi told me. That’s why I know.”

“Right.”

“I want to ask you something. Why didn’t you left your mother?”

“I don’t have any other relatives. My mother was disowned by her parents. We got a message that they
died too and even my father’s father died when I was in seven and his mother died after a month.
Mother didn’t list any close relatives. That’s why I don’t have any relatives I known .”

“But now you’re here with Yamato.”

“I think so.”

“Yamato is a nice person even though he can be someone else sometimes.”

Back to Yamato’s room.

“I think the two of them will manage.” Yamato said.

“Something is wrong with my creepy sister.”

“Why Masashi?”

“I don’t know but Akako is acting weird.”

“Your sister is weird before and until now.”

“But she wouldn’t easily be comfortable with others. It took her years to be close with Sakura.”

“It does sound weird. I find it also strange you’re here.”

Akako would sometimes come to Yamato’s house to visit Haruhi. Haruhi’s friends felt uncomfortable at

When Haruhi is at the entrance Kiyoshi was there standing.

Yamato feel a little annoyed by Haruhi for minding with him and Sakura. It’s his decision if he wants to
see her. Yamato even find it strange that Sakura would approach and talk that way to Haruhi. Sakura is
not the clingy type of person.

In the rooftop of their school.

“You talk with lost kitty today?”

“I did.”

“You really are a great actress Sakura.”

“I even love your act more Akako.”

“You sound bland.”

time she cut class and stay in the rooftop. She even transferred to other country with Sakura.”

“How did you know that Ayaka?” Haruhi then ask her.

“You know rumors spread everywhere.” Ayaka’s answer to Haruhi.

“Ito Akako is known to be Sakura’s cousin and best friend too. They even say she is Sakura’s right hand.”

“Yes. The siblings can’t do possibly anything bad because they will lose their freedom if they will get

truth. Yamato was surprised of his father revelation. He then said that no matter what he will win.

At Haruhi’s room. Someone knock on the door.

“Come in!”

“Haruhi.”

“Yes Kiyoshi?”

“Mr. Ito and Yamato will not be here tomorrow.”

“Why?”

“They need to go somewhere.”

“I will not go anywhere.”

“That’s why I’ll stay here. You can’t go to school either.”

The battle started. It is Yamato’s first time seeing Masashi being serious about something. Masashi is
never been serious with girls before human or demon. Yamato know that Masashi like Sakura, but not
inlove. Masashi knew that Sakura will never be his, hence it know that it likes Yamato. Now Yamato sees
that Masashi is serious with Haruhi.

The two fight with all their might. Masashi is giving all his strength to fight Yamato. Even him, know that
Yamato is stronger than him. But Masashi will not give up. It is his first time being serious with someone.
He didn’t know that he would fall deep for Haruhi.

Masashi know that Haruhi might soon fall with Yamato too. He is doing it early, because Haruhi is still
unaware of his feelings with Yamato. The two are fighting seriously. It seems that Yamato and Masashi
doesn’t want to give up Haruhi.

Mr. Ito noticed that Yamato is not fighting because he know about the truth. But Mr. Ito sense that
Yamato is giving out all his power in this duel. Mr. Ito even know about Yamato liking Sakura, but for Mr.
Ito, Yamato is not that really in love with Handa Sakura. He became confused after Haruhi came.

“Are you getting tired Yamato?”

“I am not.”

“Getting old already?”

“I think you are.”

“Let’s see who will win grandpa.”

Then Yamato ended it with one strike of his hand making Masashi fell into the ground and cough with
blood.

“You can never win against me my dear cousin.”

Then Yamato left Masahi still lying on the ground. Mr. Ito and Yamato left the place directly. Then Akako
appeared.

“Hello brother. Does it hurt?”

“Shut up.”

“I know that you can never win. Yamato is just playing with you.”

“At least I tried.”

“Are you really serious with the lost kitty?”

“Why don’t I kill them all?”

“Stop fooling Akako.”

“I am not kidding.”

“Do you want me to punish you?”

“No. Okay I’ll just go. You go home by yourself okay.”

At the house. Haruhi is still not sleeping, but watching TV. She was enjoying when she heard that
someone passed by her room. She quickly go outside to check Yamato’s room.

“Yamato?”

“What?”

“Can I ask you about something?”

“I want to sleep.”

“But…”

“Just ask me tomorrow.”

“Okay then.”

It is Saturday tomorrow. Haruhi went back to her room to let Yamato sleep. Morning came. When
Haruhi open the door to eat breakfast, it was also a great timing that Yamato pass. Then she saw that
Yamato’s right is injured.

“What happened to your hand?”

“It’s none of your business.”

“It is none of my business. But you can’t stop me from worrying.”

“Why would you be worried?”

“You’re friend too.”

“I just had an accident yesterday.”

“An accident?”

“Don’t repeat what I said.”

“Let’s go clean your wound.”

“Don’t mind it. It will heal eventually.”

“No.”

“I’ll clean it by myself.”

“Are you a nurse?”

“No.”

“I don’t want to be indebted with you.”

“You’re overreacting. It just a small wound.”

“But look its bleeding.”

“Then okay, fine. I’ll go to the hospital. Are we done now?”

“You react with small things.”

“Don’t worry I’ll become a doctor or a nurse in the future, because you keep getting wounds.”

“Why do you sound like you’ll stay here forever?”

“Can’t we be friends?”

“If you’ll become a nurse or doctor, I will not go to the hospital you will work.”

“I’ll be happy because I will not be tired of helping you.”

“Lazy human.”

“So are you.”

“I am hungry. Let’s go down stairs.”

“Okay.”

“Wait, you wanted to ask something to me last night?”

“Don’t mind it. I just want to ask why I can’t go to school yesterday.”

In Yamato’s mind maybe his father do it, so that Haruhi will not know. Akako will spoil it to Haruhi if she
go to school. But still Haruhi will soon found out about what happened.

At the rooftop.

“How are you my dear cousin Sakura?” Akako trying to provoke her.

“What do you mean?”

“Don’t you feel jealous about what’s happening?”

“Why would I?”

“My dear brother who like you before, now likes Haruhi. What’s more interesting is that my cousin
Yamato is starting to fall for her.”

“So?”

“I bet you are disappointed because the two persons’ who used to like you. Is now starting to leave
you.”

“Are you trying to provoke me Akako?”

“Maybe.”

“What do you really want?”

“That you’re not the princess everybody fancy.”

“No one can beat me my dear cousin.”

“But the lost kitty is already winning.”

“Then she needs to go back where she belongs to.”

Haruhi go home early and there she saw an unfamiliar car. Kiyoshi is at the entrance door standing.

“Welcome home Haruhi?”

“Thank you Kiyoshi. Mr. Ito has a guest?”

“Yes.”

“I’ll go in my room now.”

“She wants to see you Haruhi.”

Then Kiyoshi send Haruhi to the study room where the guest and Mr. Ito are. Kiyoshi knock first and
then open the door after Mr. Ito’s voice.

“Come in Haruhi.”

“Good afternoon Mr. Ito.”

“Good afternoon too. Please come here. I want you to meet someone.”

The lady stood up and turn around to look at Haruhi.

“Good afternoon ma’am.”

“Good afternoon too young lady.”

“Meet my sibling, Ito Emika.”

Haruhi stared at her after hearing she was Mr. Ito’s younger sister. The woman whom her father
married. All of the painful memories flash back in her mind.

“I have finally the chance to see and meet you in person, Miss. Tanaka Haruhi.”

Haruhi still didn’t respond and then look to Mr. Ito. Mr. Ito sense that Haruhi is uncomfortable with
what’s happening.

“Emika, I think Haruhi is tired right now. You can go to your room now Haruhi.”

Haruhi just look to Mr. Ito again without saying anything and turn around and heads toward the door.

When Haruhi was gone. The two of them talk.

“I knew she hated me, Ichiro.”

“We can’t blame the child Emika. You know what happened to her life.”

“If only I can turn back the time. Father was really forceful in marrying me to his father.”

“You know the promise already Emika.”

“But the child have nothing to do with this.”

“I know. I feel sorry for her too. But I can’t go against the organization’s decision.”

“Are you the leader or not?”

“I am.”

“Then why are you being stubborn. If your wife is still alive, surely she will be against too.”

“You know that the organization felt disgrace towards father, because he receive help from humans.”

“That’s why the organization wants to marry them? Too paid off their disgrace by marrying the two
children?”

“Father was the one who decided.”

“Then you’re position as a leader is useless.”

“How many times my I repeat it to you Emika that the organization doesn’t want to ruin their reputation
and father’s too.”

“What a stupid reputation. They felt ashamed because father have some help with kind humans. If they
didn’t help father, then he would surely had died from that attack.”

“You go and tell the organization about it Emika and all of the Ito clan will vanished.”

“Then let us all vanished. After all I suffered enough from the death of Haruhi’s father. I really want to
apologize for destroying her life.”

“You shouldn’t have come here Emika.”

“You didn’t even inform that the girl is living here.”

“Why would I tell you?”

“I am your sister after all Ichiro.”

“I know you will be against this marriage.”

“Because it was a stupid idea in the first place.”

“Why are we even arguing?”

“You know how I hate this attitude of yours Ichiro. You should have told me in the first place that she
was already here.”

“What’s the point? You even witness Haruhi’s treatment towards you.”

“You don’t know the pain I am battling for all these years.”

“I know that you are guilty Emika, but we can’t do anything about it. You agreed to marry her father.
Even decided to have divorce with him and let go of him for his family. But he killed himself.”

“Because he can’t stand the sight of watching of me.”

“He was a coward. He give up easily. If he did really loved Haruhi and her mother, he should have stayed
strong.”

“I just want to say sorry to her.”

“I think it is not best right now.”

“Go to your room now.”

“I’ll go to our old house. I don’t the young lady to feel uncomfortable with me being around.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes.”

Then Lady Emika leave.

At Haruhi’s room.

“I want to leave this place.”

Then she heard a knock from the door.

“Haruhi?”

“Come in Kiyoshi.”

“Do you want to eat something?”

“No.”

“Are you sure?”

“I have a request Kiyoshi. Did the lady already leave?”

“Yes. Why?”

“Please take me too to Mr. Ito.”

Kiyoshi stared to her and then respond. “Okay. Come with me Haruhi.”

They go back to the study room and again Kiyoshi knock first.

“Come in.”

Haruhi open and entered the door.

“Haruhi.”

“I want to make a request Mr. Ito.”

“What is it Haruhi?”

“I want to visit the place of my grandparents and stay there for a while.”

“But you know you can’t leave this place Haruhi.”

“I am not going to leave this place Mr. Ito. You know I can’t. I just want to have a short escape from this
place right now. I’ll be back. Can you allow me Mr. Ito?”

“Also don’t let anyone come with me.”

“I can’t do that Haruhi.”

“I just want a little freedom Mr. Ito. I know the consequences.”

Mr. Ito look to Haruhi with guilt and sorry. “I’ll agree.”

“Thank you Mr. Ito.”

“I’ll agree. I promise I will not escape. I just want to have time for myself.”

“I will allow you this weekend.”

“Thank you Mr. Ito.”

Haruhi went back to her room and sleep early.

Then Yamato heard about what Haruhi’s request from his father. Yamato can’t believe it that his father
agree to let Haruhi go alone.

“Are you sure father?”

“Yes. If she will try to escape the friend I asked for help will inform me directly.”

“Don’t you trust her father?”

“I know that Haruhi plans to escape this place. That’s why I don’t trust her going alone.”

“You have a trust issue father.”

“I know I have Yamato. Even to you.”

“Let’s not talk about what happened.”

“Haruhi just need some fresh air, so she will not suffocate from this house.”

It was already weekend. Haruhi leave the place early. Yamato doesn’t understand what his feeling not
seeing Haruhi around.

“Why do you are you staring at Haruhi’s room Yamato?”

“Kiyoshi…”

“Do you miss her?”

“No. The house feels a little different without her being around.”

“Are you worried about Haruhi?”

“I am not.”

“Then why are you still here standing in front of her room door?”

“Can’t I?”

“Right. She’s your bride after all.”

“I’ll go back to my room now.”
