 To provide strong bond between two members


 To ensure the grip between two members
 To maintain the homogeneous behaviour of the product
 To withstand thermal performance (expansion & contraction)
 To achieve neatness and aesthetics in the work
 To reduce cost by avoiding adhesives as much as possible
