Advantages and disadvantages of traditional family roles (man as a

breadwinner and woman as a homemaker)

I would like to give an example European way of life in family. This way
so impress for me but.. not at all...
As I said I’d like Western’s model of relationships in family because
rights each is equal. Each get salary and this money it’s his or her own
money, not «My money it’s my money, his money it’s our money» like in
our countries, and he have to works hard every day and I stay at home
and clean the flat, cook meal, look after children. They used to live on
«fifty-fifty» economics model and divide obligation. It’s really fantastic
as for me, but… how I said not always.
My teacher told me a story, how friend’s mom from England left her
husband because of dismissal from work, and he couldn’t pay for his
50% of rent. Otherwise, they not argued, he just went out and have lived
alone, it was no problem for him, he realized that she made right
decision. It was soo strange to hear it for me, because if the same
situation happens in my family or other family in our country, my mom
never leaves my father, she will work hard this month when my father
searches a job as I think. And more of families of our countries do it too.
But as I said at start of my essay, I’m so excited on European way of life.
Honestly they exemplary for me, because each of they in family try hard
to make balance in «economics position» and make them life better
together by help each other for home work, that’s why European
countries have better financial and happiness position then us. Unlike us,
when man and woman thinks they have to accomplish their own function
in family. I disagree with it model.
In conclusion I can say that in traditional family roles like man as a
breadwinner and woman as homemaker - disadvantages more than
advantages as for my opinion.
