GLS UNIVERSITY
GLS University is a statutory state private university established by the Act of Gujarat State Assembly. Gujarat Law Society, the parent body of the university,

N R Institute of Business Management (NRIBM), a constituent of GLS University, is an AICTE approved Institute imparting two-year full-time MBA & PGDM
Programme since 1998. The institute offers robust academic infrastructure within a serene ambience, offering remarkable physical facilities and best possible
educational resources.

The campus is suitably located besides the most sought after and happening places like C.G. Road and Law Garden, always bubbling with the corporate,
shopping, education and recreational activities. No effort has been spared to provide the best academic resources within the sprawling 32,000 sq mt campus.
The premises housing NRIBM is well planned to provide spacious, well-appointed air-conditioned classrooms, well equipped computer center and a breath-
taking auditorium.

The young and dynamic faculty team comprising 32 full-time faculty members who are expert in their own subject areas respectively leaves no stone
unturned in mentoring and grooming the budding managerial talent of aspiring participants of MBA & PGDM programmes.
LEARNING RESOURCES
Classrooms
Well-equipped classrooms add a lot to the students ease
and excellence while learning. The Institute has fully air-
conditioned classrooms with multimedia and audio-visual
aids to facilitate effective teaching and learning.

Computer Labs
The institute boasts of hi-tech computer center which is
housing more than 200 computers connected with a local
area network. This network also connects the faculty and
staff for information sharing and communication.
Students and faculty also have access to the Internet
through a 5.5 MBPS broadband Internet connection and
Wi-fi facility.

Library Service Centre

Through its Computerized Library Service Center which
happens to be one of the richest in the state of Gujarat, the
institute strives to make available knowledge resources
and a well organized learning environment. It allows
access to 122 international and national journals,
magazines and periodicals as well as about 16,000 books,
reference volumes and CD ROMs to keep the students
informed and educated about the Indian and global
corporate environment. The participants of MBA and
PGDM programmes also have access to e-journal
database like EBSCO, J-GATE, PROQUEST etc. along with
subscription to QUESTIA and corporate financial database
like CAPITALINE.

BEYOND CLASSROOM
NRIBM's “Excellence in Management Award”
Gujarat Law Society organizes the presentation ceremony of N R Institute of Business Management's "Excellence in Management Award" periodically. During the
last event, Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India presented the silver trophy and certificate to Shri Gautam S Adani, Chairman, Adani Group in
recognition of his exceptional contribution in the field of business management and his distinguished leadership.

Third AIMS International Conference on Management

The Institute was the privileged co-sponsor of the Third AIMS International Conference on Management. This conference was organized at the new IIM
Ahmedabad campus under the able leadership of Prof Omprakash Gupta, Prof Bakul Dholakia and Prof Maheshwari. The institute's director Dr Hitesh Ruparel had
the honor of chairing a technical session on the first day of the conference.

Corporate Congregation, Alumni Meet & Annual Day

This is one of the regular feature of the Institute. During previous occasions, It was organized along with a musical concert by ghazal maestro Shri Jagjit Singh at
the Karnavati Club Lawns. The intention is to provide a platform for interaction to members of the corporate fraternity, alumni and students. The event remained a
huge success with presence of more than 10,000 invited guests including professionals, industrialists and eminent academicians.

The eXpert Opinion Series

XO (eXpert Opinion) is a series of annual seminars conducted by the Institute to provide pragmatic wisdom to the students who are on the threshold of their
professional careers in the areas of FMCG, Media, Advertising, ICE, Financial Services, Pharma, Engineering, Manufacturing, SMEs, Service sector etc .

Workshop on Communication and Soft Skills

Every year, the institute conducts several workshops and seminars to help develop the soft skills, linguistics and creative abilities of its students. The institute
partners with eminent trainers and professional organizations for this initiative.
'I AM RESPONSIBLE' Campaign
'I AM RESPONSIBLE' Campaign is managed by the students of the Institute with a huge
support from all faculty members. Students undertake drives to make peers and other
members of the society socially sensitized and responsible. The initiative features campaign
to honour Traffic cops, Postmen, Tiffin-service-providers etc. by recognizing their
contribution in unique ways.

Rewarding Merit
In order to further the mission of excellence in education, NRIBM awards gold medals to
students for academic achievements. The Gujarat Law Society has instituted the Indravadan
M Nanavati Memorial Gold Medal for Best Performance in Marketing Management and the
Navnitlal Ranchhodlal Memorial Gold Medal for Best Performance in Financial
Management.

International Immersion & 2nd India New Zealand Business Forum

The institute has developed active liaisons with two foreign universities in Australia and New
Zealand. Both Deakin University in Australia, as well as the University of Waikato in New
Zealand is ranked amongst top 300 universities in the world.
These academic tie-ups have ensured that both students and faculty members of these
universities as well as our institute can partner for joint research opportunities and exchange
programme.
The institute and University of Waikato in New Zealand jointly hosted 2nd India-New
Zealand Business Summit at Ahmedabad in association with FICCI.

International Industrial Visit

Few of the institute's students regularly visit Hochschule Wismar University, Germany for
their summer internship as a element of International Experience Program. Hochschule
Wismar University is the third-biggest and third-oldest public university in Germany. They
undergo industrial visits at prestigious organizations like Airbus, Volkswagen, Deutsche
Bahn, Egger, RegioVision, Eurawasser, Chamber of Industry and Commerce and German
Parliament. They get an exposure to the workings of these organizations and learn some
significant management lessons. They also study subjects like Strategic Management,
Consumer Behaviour and Business Simulation at Wismar University. They experience
innovative teaching methodologies and practical applications of these subjects.

Joint Research Engagement

The institute, by ascertaining a hearty coaching milieu, aids and maintains avant-garde
research in an extensive assortment of areas. This initiative of JRE facilitates the learners to
accustom themselves with most up-to-date advancement in their respective areas of
learning and pursue their own research interests. The institute persuades its faculty
associates and students to establish collaborative research ventures. The students and
faculty members of the institutes are actively involved in writing research papers on various
contemporary issues in national and international journals resulting into numerous
publications of articles, case studies, research work and books by the institute.

MANEDGE – The Wall Magazine

Started in September, 2008, students at the institute have conceptualized a distinctive
instrument to stay abreast with present happenings by MANEDGE; a quarterly wall-
magazine produced in print and electronic form. Standard features comprise of a wide array
of information ranging from politics and economics to entertainment and creativity.
Students enthusiastically manage the complete course right from concepts, collection of
information, editing, designing, executing to circulating. Man-Edge provides a unique
platform to sharpen skills like organizing, team work and offers exposure to publishing.

Talentino
With the objective of providing a platform to explore the latent talent of the students, the
institute organizes “Talentino”, its culfest, amidst electrifying environment in its own
auditorium. The activities during Talentino aims to offer opportunities to improve their
leadership and interpersonal skills while also increasing their self-confidence whilst having
fun. Such involvement allows students to link academic knowledge with practical
experience, which leads to a better understanding of their own abilities, talents, and goals.

Sanshodhan
Sanshodhan is the Summer Internship Project Competition by NRIBMates. It is a notion,
made to define, refine and find the best research done during the Summer Internship
Project. Sanshodhan is an effort to make the MBA & PGDM clan learn more; discover more;
research more and present more.

Pradan
GLS Management programme organizes a noble activity called Pradan, where students
distribute old cloths, newspapers, stationeries, toys etc, to the needy and underprivileged
people as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activity. The students visit NGOs like
SAVERA, Blind People Association, and Charity Shop etc.and share the joy of giving.
