Why is communication an essential human need

Communication is the act of giving, receiving and sharing
information. It is said to be the most important skill in life. Communication
is one of the essential social skills required for any individual to survive in
life. But why is communication considered an essential human need?
Today’s life is impossible without communication because it plays a
vital role in humans' day-to-day lives. Each one of us has used different
methods of communication everyday to convey our messages and for us
to understand the messages of others as well. Because of communication
humans are able to express themselves. Communicating helps people to
express their ideas and feelings, and at the same time, helps us to
understand the emotions and thoughts of other people. Communication is
an essential human need because it aids us to connect with people. Every
human being needs communication considering it helps us to build
relationships, to connect to others and to be able to express who we are.
That’s why communication is taught in schools, this skill has to be
developed by everyone so that all of us are able to interact with each
other. And able to share our thoughts and reach out to other people.
In conclusion, communication is a basic human need. It allows
humans to express themselves and understand others as well. It serves
as a bridge among people, it brings people together. Because of
communication we are able to understand and gain knowledge as well as
information.
