Reflection

As we’ve conducted our Demographic Household Survey at Purok 10, Poblacion Carmen,
North Cobato we’ve seen and witness a situation that we’ve never expected. As a student and a
graduating student, we are very mush lucky because we have the chance to go to school, a
chance that others don’t have. We have realized that education is very important, as what in the
saying says “Education is the Key to Success”, yes it is true, all the residents that we had
conducted a survey are out of school or has don’t have diploma and that causes of the situation in
their lives. We have realized that there are really some kind of teenagers that don’t have interest
to go to school because of their situation, maybe some of them thinks the situation in their
family, they don’t want to be burden in their family, instead of going to school, they’re just
working just to help their parents to sustain their daily needs. We’ve also realize that in every
homes, there should always a representative to attend in every meeting in the Purok or Barangay.
Some of the family that we’ve conducted doesn’t know if who are the Secretary and Councilor in
their community because they are not attending in any meeting because of lots of reason. As a
youth or a student we should be thank to have the privileged to go to school and getting the key
for a successful life.

In our journey at Purok 10, Poblacion Carmen , North Cotabato we’ve learned a lot such
as be contented of whatever you have in life. We have learned a lot of lessons from the people
that we have conducted a survey, one of them says “you are lucky because you have the chance
to go school, unlike us that doesn’t even graduate elementary, but that doesn’t define us because
we are still working hard just to sustain the needs in our family” and that really breaks our heart,
we have learned that if whoever you are or what status in life you have, if you are good, you are
good. We have learned that we should not judge people especially from the lower class family
because even they didn’t graduate, they have also learning’s that others don’t have such as the
learning on life, the learning’s on how to survive in life.

That’s just all the learning, observation, and realization during our demographic household
survey at Purok 10, Poblacion Carmen, North Cotabato. We hope that all the realization, and
learning that we had is that we can share it in the future and we will not forget the moral lesson
that we’ve got during the survey. We are really thankful because we’ve met those people to
inspire us to strive hard and should be successful for us not to experience their experiences, we
are not saying not their experiences are bad but their experiences are lesson for us to not let go
all the opportunities and chances that we know other people don’t have. Always thankful for
whatever you have, and keep on inspiring people even in small ways.
