Hydraulic system is a control technology using fluid to move energy from one specimen to

another it is called hydrostatic fenergy e.g. electric motor to an actuator, like hydraulic cylinder
which is an example of linear actuator. Hydraulic energy is a combination of pressurized fluid
and rate the fluid moves at expressed as pressure and flow respectively. Hydraulic system is
much similar to electrical system, where the fluid is theoretically uncompressible unlike air
means path can be flexible.
For this Experiment, controlling hydraulic is simulated using special type of valve commonly
used in hydraulic system, the 4/2-way hand lever valve. This valve is actuated manually and
returns automatically by means of attached spring. Whereas in this valve normal position P
connection is open to B same with A to T. When manually actuated the valve is set to parallel
position.

In this experimentation, one way-flow valve is added connecting in between cylinder and 4/2-
way hand lever valve to simulate the fluid movement up to the said hydraulic actuator. From the
previous experiment one way flow control valve is defined as restriction of compressed going in
air and exhaust air in one direction, it works controlling the amount of air being flow to that
specific point. It is same with hydraulic system as it controls fluids going in to regulate flow rate
which is directly to fluid pressure in the system

This experiment used a 4/3-way Hand-lever Valve to regulate the system. This lever valve is
used to control directions of fluid flows. This valve is actuated manually and is subjected to three
positions which in the mid position ports P, T, A and B is closed. Position 1 is port P connected
to port A by means of piston’s first annular groove and T to B in the second annular grove.
Position 3 of lever valve is where cross connecting ports occur. Port P is now connected to port
B via piston’s first annular groove while ports T is connected to A in the second annular grove.s
