3. Affect on me through the timeline…
● The deaths of both my brother and my papa made me feel depressed and empty,
I was too young to understand my brother passing away when he did but it still
makes me upset everyday and my papa was my best friend so it took a huge toll
in how I interacted with people and I became more quiet.
● When my youngest brother was born I was ecstatic and felt as if I got a second
chance at a younger brother, so until this day I am extremely protective over my
brother.
● When I got my first puppy I was joyful but having her taught me responsibility at a
young age by having to walk and clean up after her.
● Moving houses and going from public to private school both gave me a sense of
uncertainty and since I don’t really like change it was tough because I had to
adapt to a new neighborhood and find newer friends, but I think it taught me to
overcome adversities and expect uncertainty.
● When I stopped doing karate and just did wrestling I think that was a huge step in
my life since they kept interfering with one another and even though I wasn’t
good at wrestling at the time I took a leap of faith and trusted my gut that that was
what I wanted to do. THis taught me to go with my gut and believe in myself and
my decisions.
● I think when I won my first state title and when I won the hardest national
tournament in the nation, I had similar feelings that all the hard work and
dedication I put into the sport was finally paying off and I think this taught me to
keep pushing through when times get a little tough.
● Finally meeting my coach was life changing in itself. My dad’s a coach as well so
a majority of the coaches meetings are hosted at my house and because of that I
have a more in depth relationship with my coaches. But Alex is different because
he taught me how important family is and he showed me what it is like to truly
have a collective group of people that care about one another. Alex isn't blood
family but he’s believed in me more than my regular family (besides the ones that
live in my house).
4. I think my love for wrestling and physical sports in general came from my dad. My dad
played football and wrestled in high school and has always loved it so when he told my
brother and I he wrestled we wanted to try it out. We fell in love with the sport almost
instantly, but before I wrestled I did Karate.

Prompt 1:
A trait that I think I inherited from my family is my height. In the principle factors of personality
development, heredity is a huge part in the way one develops based on your family’s genetics.
For instance my dad is short and so is his mom, especially for the rest of the family and since
the height gene has a tendency to be passed down from the father, I'm short because of him.

Prompt 2:
I think a behavior that has been caused by social interaction is that I am quiet. The two agents
of socialization that I think affect this is peer group and school. IN school it’s normalized that you
sit and listen and dont talk unless instructed and with peer groups my friends from childhood
through to now my friends have been kind of quiet which caused me to see them and adop that
same behavior to fit in.
