Read the information below and click the corresponding movie
to view the procedure for using SMPL commands as debugging tools.

This tutorial contains two main parts:

Part 1 - Explains the enhancement of Event Driven SMPL, new to 4100ES Software 1.02.01
New for 1.02.01 only equations with changes to their point status are evaluated,
rather than every equation being evaluated. This enhancement improves system performance,
most noticeably on systems containing a large number of Custom Control equations.

Part 2 - Explains how to use the following commands as SMPL debugging tools.
I. SMPL LOG (includes CHANGE, TRIG, and DEFAULT)
II. SMPL NOLOG
III. SMPL SHOW
