Conclusion

Not only is the 4IR the deal pathway towards a brighter future for South Africa, but the
national lockdown has also accelerated us down that path. This is the time for a technology-
driven change and an opportunity to help everyone, including leaders, policymakers, and
people from all income groups and nations to harness converging technologies in order to
create an inclusive, human-centred future. The real opportunity is to look beyond technology
and find ways to give the greatest number of people the ability to positively impact their
families’ organizations and communities. The benefits that come with the move to micro PCs
in the contact centre are far bigger than the device itself, making it a sound choice for
companies committed to ensuring exceptional customer service without breaking the ban.

If we work towards embedding the 4IR in our society, our economy will grow and our people
will be in a much more stable, sustainable, and more hopeful place.
