SYMPTOM
1. The set cannot wakeup from Standby mode after leaving it for some hours.

CAUSE
Malfunction of software. (IC702)

SOLUTION

1
Installation of Flash Writing program(Flash Development Toolkit)
1) Get the installer “fdtv407r01.exe”.
2) Double click “fdtv407r01.exe” and follow the instructions for installation.
3) Click “OK” and proceed.

4) Select the desired language and click on “Next” to proceed.

5) Accept the terms of license agreement and click on “Next” to proceed.

6) Select the features as below and click on “Next” to proceed until installation completed.

7) Click on "Next" to proceed.

8) Click on "Next" to proceed.

9) Click on "Install" to proceed.

10) Click on "Finish"

Update the software of IC702
1) Make sure that STR-DH130 is powered off and unplug the AC cord.
2) Connect FFC cable to STR-DH130.
3) Connect FFC cable to jig board. Make sure the switches on jig board are switched correctly.
4) Connect jig-board to PC through a USB cable.
(Sequence of steps above must be strictly followed)

5) Click [Start] ==> [All Programs] ==> [Renesas] ==> [Flash Development Toolkit 4.07 Basic]
6) After click [Flash Development Toolkit 4.07 Basic], figure below shown.

7) Press “Options” and select “New Settings …”

8) Type "r5f364ae" and select "R5F364AE_2Line" and click "Next".

9) The next step is to select port. Select the port that USB cable is connected then click "Next" as shown
below.

To confirm which port to connect, click [Start] ==> [Control Panel] ==> [System], the
Window as shown below appear. Then click "Hardware" then choose [Device Manager]

In Device Manager Window, click on [Port] to check which USB port is used.

10) Deselect "Use Default" and select "38400" in Recommended Speeds. Click Next.

11) Select [Automatic] for "Protection" and [Advanced] for "Messaging", then click [Finish].

12) Under "User / Data Area", select the required file base on table below.

13) Press "RESET" button.

14) Press "Program Flash"

15) Flash Programming will start.
Once complete, "Image written to device" will appear.
After Flash Programming finish, click “Disconnect”

16) Click [OK] when the window appears as shown below.

17) Disconnecting and Disconnected will be shown and can unplug the cables.

18) AC on. Hold the [MUTING] button and [SPEAKERS] button (as shown below), and Power on the unit.

19) STR front panel FL display will appear software version below.

20) Confirm that it shows version above which means software upgrade is successful.
21) Then, power off the unit.

22) Hold the [MUTING] button and [TUNING MODE] button (as shown below), and Power on the unit.
STR front panel FL display will show “CLEARING” followed by “CLEARED” and then the unit will Power
off automatically.

23) Unplug the AC cord.
