WRITE THE THESIS OF PAPER IN MARGIN.
Does the conclusion restate the thesis using
different words without any new information?
Does the writer use relevant, details that give
important compare/contrast information?

Does the writer use well-constructed and
complete sentences with varied structures?
Does the writer make errors in grammar that
distract the reader from the content? Where?

the flow of the reading (similar, unlike, etc.)?
How many being verbs (is, am, are, etc.) and

writer used? ONLY THREE ALLOWED!
Does the writer avoid expletives (there are,
there is, there could have been, etc.)?
Does the writer avoid the use of the second
person? (you, your, etc) NONE ALLOWED
Does the writer avoid the use of clichés, jargon
or informal language in the essay?
Does the writer follow all the requirements?
What parts have been omitted?
