You are on page 1of 3

One of the great things about the internet is that you can go into business for yourself from

the comfort
of your home. All you need is an internet connection, and you can make money online. Diving into the
online world will free you from the daily 9 to 5 grind of a desk job and afford you more time to travel,
indulge in hobbies, and spend time with the family.

1. Blogging

Old-fashioned blogging is alive and thriving. If you provide valuable content on a regular basis, you
attract like-minded people interested in your niche information and products. Your readers are
compelled to keep reading to find out more and buy.

These people are primed to buy your products either via ads or affiliate links in your posts. Why?
Because you’ve been providing useful free (targeted) content and people have come to know and trust
you.

Also, you make your site / online storefront attractive in the eyes of Google by regularly adding useful
information in the form of articles, videos, etc. This results in higher rankings in Google's search engine
so, hopefully, you appear on page one because most people don’t go to page two on Google.

There are many ways you can monetize a blog and the traffic you get to it. You can promote products as
an affiliate, promote your own products and services, and have ads on your blog as well.

2. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the fastest and easiest ways to start an online business because all you have
to do is promote the products. You don't have to worry about creating products, setting up payment and
delivery systems, or handle customer support.

You just simply drive the traffic and get them to click over to the companies you are promoting as an
affiliate and if a sales is made you get a commission for referring that sale.

3. Google Adsense

If you've visited any website, you've seen Google ads. These ads are everywhere and for good reason.
Not only are they easy to set up on any basic website, but they can be lucrative once your website starts
bringing in a steady amount of traffic.

One of the cool things about Google AdSense is that it's so easy to get set up. If you have a blog or
website, you can sign up for a free Google AdSense Account. From there, Google will give you a unique
code that you will paste onto your website. Google takes it from there, tracking your page views, traffic,
and earnings on your behalf. There is no upkeep or maintenance to get this thing going, which makes it
a no-brainer if you have a website already.
4. Consulting

Another way to make money online is via consulting. If you’re an expert in any field, you could
potentially find people willing to pay you to counsel them on their personal or business goals. You might
think you’re not important enough to consult for big companies, but you could be surprised at the types
of expertise people will pay for.

5. Online Courses

If you have any skill you can teach others, it’s also possible to set up an online course you can market
online. You can find online courses that teach anything from cooking to marketing or even freelance
writing. Heck, I even offer my own course for financial advisors who want to take their businesses online
— The Online Advisor Growth Formula.

6. Freelance Writing

If you have writing skills and creative talent, it’s also possible to get paid to create online content. I don’t
do this as much as I used to, but I am very aware of how viable this income stream is.

7. Sponsored Posts

If you have a website or a large social media following, you can also make money by pursuing sponsored
posts and ads. But, how does this work? Basically, companies are willing to pay bloggers and social
media influencers to promote their products and services. If you have a platform, be it a blog or a huge
Instagram following, you can cash in.

8. YouTube

YouTube is another platform that has made it possible for people to earn money online. There are a ton
of YouTube channels out there on any topic if you can think of, and most of the people with a big
following are earning some money in exchange for their videos and time.

9. Give Your Opinion in Online Focus Groups and Surveys

If you want to help shape digital products in their early stages, joining an online focus group or
answering survey questions is a great way to make extra money online. They don’t pay as much as some
of the other options we’re highlighting in this list, but you can join groups on sites like Survey Junkie,
User Interviews and InboxDollars that payout through PayPal, check or even Amazon gift cards. You’ll be
asked to provide a bit of information about your personal demographics (age, location, etc…), but after
that, you can get going making money online through completing surveys.
10. Build an Online Community

Last but not least, you can also earn money online by building an online community, although the
monetization strategies you can pursue will vary a lot depending on your goals. You can build a
community with a blog, for example. You can also build an online forum and charge people for
membership. You could even build up a Facebook group and use your influence there to sell and
promote products.
