According to the study of E.E. Tan and A.J. Vicente(2019). Fire spread
prediction probalistic cellular automata: The case of Urban settlements in the
Philippines. Fire catastrophes are normal events in the metropolitan settlements of
the Philippines. Concerned offices like the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the
Disaster of Rish Reduction Management Office (DRRMO) are continually
arranging ways of forestalling and alleviate fire debacles. The way into a viable
arrangement against fire debacle is seeing how a potential fire can spread locally.
By consolidating the two GIS and Probabilistic Cell Automata (PCA), this paper
addresses the assignment of fire spread demonstrating and recreation. PCA is a
model that comprises a normal framework of cells, whose cells are refreshed by
decisions that consider both the cell's present status and the cell's neighbors' states.
In the model, we created factors in the wind, building materials, and building
thickness. The model was planned after a few flames in significant urban areas of
Cebu, Philippines. A precision of 83.54% and a Cohen's Kappa coefficient of 0.67
were accomplished. Further, an online instrument was created to support fire
calamity arranging.
