ACTIVITY 1
Show your appreciation of this video clip inspired on the reports of Group 1 by writing an essay
to answer the question: What did you learn in this video? (30 points)

Sports will strengthen your body, enhance your skills, develop your ability to socialize
with other players, and prepare your mind for the most outrageous event. These are some of the
benefits of sports. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) categorized sports into four. The
first one is individual sports, the second one is dual or partner sports, the third one is team sports,
and the last but not on the list is extreme sports. But we will focus on individual and dual sports
that were based on the video.

The five sports that are revealed in the video are Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess,
Sungka, and Game of the Generals. We are quite familiar with those five. The most known are
badminton, table tennis, and chess. The sungka is a light and easy game for our friends, while the
GG is quite difficult to understand. I learned that those five sports will make you more active and
the togetherness with your friends will definitely develop. I realized that we live now in the 21 st
century. Some Filipino youths do not know how to play sungka, because they are manipulated by
gadgets. They forget how to be happy while playing sungka. The music of video is Titanium
compliment to the video itself. It just tells us that we need to be strong, so that we won’t fall. It’s
very clever that they used the music Titanium because, like sungka, Games of the Generals,
badminton, table tennis, and chess, titanium is very strong and light. You have a strong mind and
heart to play those lighter games, just to enjoy it.

Sports will not only be for those who have complete limbs, 20-20 vision, and can hear
everything, because sports are for all humans who have a passion and dedication to dealing with
it. This year, the Paralympics will surely be a big event. We should remember our athletes. Just
like in this video, we should engage ourselves in sports.
