What is HRM?
HRM is a whole process of achieving the goal of organization and it is done by a process of planning,
controlling, organizing etc. and then we achieve the goal of organization and also the objectives of
human also. It means we have use human resources in a proper manner that is effectively and efficient
use of resources so that we can achieve the organization goal.
Example: In an organization, manager may hire employees, so HRM tells how we hire the employee
or on what basis.

Scope of HRM
1) Clue on Personnel Aspects: The personnel aspect includes recruitment, planning, promotion,
productivity, etc. and this is concerned with how you select your employee and how much do
you compensate.
2) Clue on Welfare Aspects: This Aspect of welfare are for the welfare of its employees in the
organization and this include canteens, food, education, safety, rest, etc.
3) Clue on Industrial Relations Aspects: In this type of aspect, the relation of industrial covers
some consultation, bargaining, etc.

Nature of HRM
1) Clue on Pervasive force: As we know HRM helps the organization in using human resource in
most effective manner and so HRM is very important for every organization.
2) Clue on Action-Oriented: HRM solves the problem of every employee by a procedure and
fulfill their all needs by see all the records and rules of the employee.
3) Clue on People Oriented: HRM is very useful as provide full satisfaction and services to
every employee by treating every individual as individual people in the organization.
4) Clue on Future Oriented: With the help of good employee in the organization, they can
achieve the future goals also and HRM provides Motivated, committed, etc. employees.
5) Clue on Development Oriented: In the organization, every employee gets training to improve
their work and for their development and this all done by the HRM.

Importance of HRM
 Instrument for the Organization Growth
HRM helps the organization in growth by providing sincere, motivated and committed
employee so that they never have any needs and always work for the organization in
accomplishing the goal efficiently. As HRM uses the resources of human collected by them and
use them in effective way so that objectives or every employee may achieve and also the goal
of the organization and this will lead to growth.
 Explain Liaison between employee and employer
With the help of HRM, it provides the organization human resources so that the employer and
employee may communicate with each other and work with cooperation, so that they use the
resources efficiently and helps the organization in achieving its goal in best manner.
 Define Professional Field: It means the process of recruiting a new employee for the
organization, its selection, etc. and then treat them in best possible manner by fulfilling their
needs, providing him services like good salary and incentives for those who work hard for their
company.

Explain the Traditional Management Theories


1) Bureaucratic Management Theories
- If we divide the work to the employees or labor as per their specialization so that there will
be timely completion of work.
- There should be proper management system like every member in hierarchical had to see
the member below their level.
- The selection in organization should be based on their skills, education and their experience
in their life.
- The employee should clearly defined the rules and they have to give feedback as what the
organization is expecting.

2) Administrative Management Theories


- Unity of direction and division of work
- Team work and discipline
- Taking initiative and centralized power
- Remuneration to the personnel and order
- Scalar of chain, Unity of command
- Subordinating of individual interest to the general interest
- Order, Stability of tenure of personnel and equity

3) Scientific Management Theories


- Organization may provide some incentives to employees for boosting of work.
- They improve working conditions and tools and also production cost.
- There are Eight supervisor who supervise every employee in their respective fields.
