Message from the President
Colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the President of the Indonesian Urological Association (IUA), I welcome you to the 44th
Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Urological Association (ASMIUA) Congress to be held from
1st to 5th September 2021. As concerns increased on the uncertainties and the disruptions caused by
the COVID-19 pandemic, the Organizing Committee has decided to convene it in a virtual conference.
I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all national and international speakers and participants,
as well as our industry partners in joining us. It is indeed a borderless world where knowledge and
expertise is concerned and your participation will not only make this meeting a great success but also
more meaningful. I sincerely hope that, all IUA members will continue to contribute and showing support
towards our beloved organization by actively participate in this important meeting.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the gallant organizing committee for making this meeting
possible and a pleasurable experience. I wish you all great enjoyment of this meeting and much success
with your presentations and future collaborations.

Message from the Chairman
Dear colleagues and friends,
We hope this message reaches you in good health.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenge for almost every aspect of our lives, including the face-
to-face congress model. Nothing should stop us from continuous learning and progress especially not
the pandemic. To answer this challenge, The Indonesian Urological Association (IUA) developed a
virtual conference platform including an interactive industry exhibition that comes as close as possible
to the experience of a physical congress. We therefore would like to inform you that the 44th Annual
Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Urological Association (ASMIUA) will be held from September 1st to
5th, 2021, in virtual format. The chosen theme is “Urological Science and Services in the Era of Artificial
Intelligence”.
We do hope that in this challenging time, all IUA members will continue to contribute show support
towards our beloved organization by actively participate in this important meeting.
The scientific committee is currently finalizing an exciting program that will comprise of Oetama lecture,
master classes and main lectures from InaSAU, InaSOU, InaSFFU, InaSTU, InaSE, InaGURS, InaSPU,
InaSRU join sessions between national and international urology societies, courses for residents and a
special session for the young neurologist. Aside from the scientific program, a memorable IUA Nights
will be also held with prestigious award announcements.
In this wonderful opportunity, we would like to also encourage all IAU members and residents to
participate in highly regarded scientific competition such as educational video, e-poster and oral free
papers. Please submit your abstract(s) and/or video through the congress website www.asmiua2021.
org which the details of the scientific program will be also available.

Before submitting the abstract, you are requested to carefully read the rules regarding abstract
submission.
• Abstract(s) may not have been published previously at the time of presentation of the ASMIUA
• Any human experimentation that has been conducted with respect to the submitted abstract(s),
should have been conducted according to the protocol approved by the institutional or local
committee on ethics in human investigation; or, if no such committee exists, the works should have
been conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki of World Medical
Association. Council may enquire further into ethical aspects when evaluating the abstract(s).
• All research involving human and animal subjects require ethical clearance. The IRB number should
be declared.
• In clinical studies, the authors must state that an Ethical Committee approval has been obtained.
• Copyright of the abstract(s) is assigned to the Indonesian Urological Association any conflicts with
any other scientific association will be the sole responsibility of the author(s).
• All abstracts that are published, including figures and tables, are the property of Indonesian Urological

Abstract Guidelines
• All abstract(s) must be submitted in English. Applies also for the title, text body and author affiliations
• Only abstract submitted through the website congress or congress email will be considered
• Cancellation or name changes should be notified 1 month prior to the congress by email to
asmiua2021@pharma-pro.com
• Systematic reviews (with or without meta-analysis) can be submitted only when they meet the
following standards :
• The clinical question was clearly defined using a standard PICO (Population, Intervention,
Comparison and Outcome) format
• A comprehensive systematic literature search was carried out
• An assessment of the risk of bias was made
• Key findings are clearly described including clinical practice relevance
Authorship
Each quoted author should have contributed substantially to the represented work in terms of conceptual
design or analysis writing of article and final approval of the article in order to take public responsibility
for the content.
Size
The size of abstracts not more than 300 words and limited to 3,000 characters (including title, body of
abstract, spaces tables and graphics). Every picture / graphic count for 500 characters.
Title
The title should clearly define the topic. Do not identify your institution in the title. There is no maximum
length for the title. However, the characters in the title are included in your total character count. The
first letter of the title will automatically begin with a capital letter. Do type the abstract and title in small
letters, except for abbreviations. Do not type the abstract title in capital letters.

Authors
Type full family name and first name of all authors, only omitting any titles, degrees and institutional
affiliations. It is advisable to check the correct spelling of the family name and initials with each author.
Please check that for authors from the same institution, the name of institution is written in the exact
same way to avoid the creation of extra affiliations, which are in fact identical.
Affiliation
Type the name of the institution, department, city and country in English.
Body of the abstract
The following headings have already been formatted for you and should not be entered in the text fields
again:
• Introduction & objectives
• Materials & methods
• Results
• Conclusion
State the objective of the study, describe the material and methods, summarize the results presenting
sufficient details to support of the conclusions reached (not acceptable to state: “The results will be
discussed”). Use number for numbers and only very well-known abbreviations e.g. kg, MRI etc. If you
must use other abbreviations, you must explain it the first time it appears. You can use the special keys
to insert tables, pictures or specific characters.
Proof reading
Verify that your abstract is correct and read the proof carefully that will be automatically shown after you
have inserted all data. Keep a printout for your own records.
Editing
Abstract bodies will be published as submitted, except for a simple English spelling check. After
submission deadline there is no possibility to edit the abstract anymore.

The scientific committee will give the final decision on the presentation format for each accepted abstract.
However, presenters are welcome to inform the committee the preference of the presentation format.

POSTER PRESENTATION / VIDEO SESSION.
The final presentation format and schedule be informed by email to each author at the latest by
August 1st, 2021. The presentation schedule will be only provided for those presenters that have paid the

Selected from 10 abstracts with the highest score. Authors are required to present their study using
presentation form. QnA by the judges will be followed afterward.

23 abstracts will be selected as moderated E-Poster. Authors are required to present their study in
traditional one-page landscape E-Poster form. The duration of presentation on this category is shorter
than in oral presentation.

• Participant is required to present their study in the form of a poster with added audio talk voiceover
timed that will advance automatically
• The presentation video should be pre-recorded with a duration no longer than 5 minutes. Zoom in
and zoom out are permissible during presentation.
