     Simple past be : Was(I – he – she – it ) were ( you- we- they)


     Simple past – Regular Verbs. ( add ED )
     Simple past- Irregular Verb – Change the word
    SIMPLE PAST BE.
    1. (+) I washappy.
    (-) I was not / wasn’t happy.
    (?) Was I happy?
     Yes I was.
     NO I wasn’t.

    2. (+)You were in Mexico city.


    (-) you weren’t in Mexico city.
    (?) Were you in Mexico city?
     Yes I was.
     No I wasn’t

    SIMPLE PAST – REGULAR VERBS – add ED to the verb to make the past form.
    To form the negative form in the past. We need the aux. DIDN’T
    WHEN THERE ISN’T A VERB TO BE . WE CAN USE THE AUX: DIDN’T.
    To forma a question we use the aux: DID
    1. (+)Camila played soccer.
    (-)Camila didn’t play soccer.
    (?) Did Camila play soccer?
     Yes she did
     No she didn’t.
    2. They worked very hard.
    (-) They didn’t work very hard.
    (?) Did they work very hard?

     Yes they did.


     No they didn’t.
    Change to the negative form the following sentences:
