Data Select by BIN

1. Load the data into a VISTA project. Load geometry bin information. Display a Data Set’s geometry

grid by clicking on the Attribute window icon.

2. Click on the icon on the left toolbar to activate the Selection Toolbar.

3. Click and hold on the icon. Choose Select POLYGON Bins to define area.

4. Pass the cursor over the data.

Note the bin: xxxx (IL and XL on the bottom information bar).
Left click at the corners of the desired data area. Double click to close the polygon.

5. Close the selection.

6. Click to Broadcast on the left toolbar.

7. Create and Open a flow: Input ->SelData->Output.

8. Click on the SelData icon to open the dialog window. Click on the to Receive the Broadcast
dataset. This will populate the window. Click OK to close.

Choose the same input dataset that was used for the new bin selection. Enter an Output name. Save and
Run the flow.

9. Display the new Data Set’s geometry grid by clicking on the Attribute window icon.

10. Open and QC the new dataset.
