Per the diocese, November 1 (Monday) is NOT a holy day of
obligation this year, since it falls on a Monday.
CCW BASKET RAFFLE SALE
The CCW will again have their Basket Raffle Sale during the
month of November. Starting this weekend, the baskets will be
on display. Starting November 6, you will be able to buy tickets.
The cost of the tickets is 6 for $5.00. The drawing for the
baskets will be on Sunday, November 28, (immediately after
the 9:30 AM Mass) - no tickets will be sold after the 9:30 AM
Mass on Sunday, November 28.

INTERNATIONAL COMBINED COLLECTION
This weekend, the International Combined Collection is being
conducted across the diocese. Enclosed in this bulletin is a
brochure explaining all of the individual collections and an envelope
to make your donation. Please consider how you can make a
difference in the lives of so many.
FREE MEDICATION LOCK BOXES, GUN LOCKS, &
REFRIGERATOR LOCKS
Marquette County Healthy Communities Healthy Youth coalition (HCHY)
is working with several Marquette County area pastors on a “Safe and
Secure” campaign. This would offer FREE locks to interested
congregation members and people they may know.
Three kinds of locks are available:
• Gun – to keep children and others from accidentally discharging
weapons.
• Fridge – for locking the second fridge in garage or basement often
used to store alcohol; this helps keep underage family members or
friends from pilfering.
• Medication Lock Box – to keep from children, grandchildren,
in-home workers or possible theft. These locks cost $10 - $25 each;
so getting them free is nice.
Sign up for the free locks at St. James Place or contact the parish office
at (920) 293-4211. There is a signup sheet at the entrance of the church.
The deadline for signup is Sunday, November 14, 2021. After that
date, all locks will be delivered to the church. Contact the parish office
for pickup (Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM).
THE DISCIPLE MAKER INDEX SURVEY
(SPONSORED BY THE DIOCESE OF MADISON)
Please help us by participating in completing a 10-15 minute
Disciple Maker Index Survey (sponsored by the Diocese) as
soon as possible (all parishioners 16 years and older are asked
to fill out this survey).
• To complete the survey online, go to
https://portal.catholicleaders.org/d/kb3dg2
• There are also opportunities to complete the survey after
Saturday and Sunday Masses. Pick up a preprinted paper
copy of the survey on the table at the entrance of the
church, or you can obtain a preprinted paper copy in the
parish office by contacting the parish office at
(920) 293-4211 (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM).
• The survey will only be available from October 14 to
November 22, 2021 and will ask you to reflect on your own
spiritual growth and enable you to provide feedback on our
parish’s efforts to help you grow. All responses will be
confidential and the parish will only receive information
about the community as whole.
• We are trying to get the highest response rate possible.
This information will be invaluable to Father Grubba and our
various ministries as we plan for the future and strive to be
the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results this
spring/summer at which time we will share what we have
learned with the entire parish. Thank you for helping with
this important project!

CHILI TAKE OUT DINNER
OCTOBER 31 (Sunday) - 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Location: Zion United Methodist Church
200 E. Bluff Street, Neshkoro, WI
The Zion United Methodist Church, Neshkoro, is hosting a
Chili-To-Go event on Sunday, October 31, in conjunction with
Trick or Treating in the Village of Neshkoro from 3-6 p.m.
The church will be offering one quart of chili (feeds four), four
homemade rolls, and four cookies for a small fee. There will also
be treats for the children.
The church is located at 200 E. Bluff St., across from the
Community Center. Zion United Methodist Church invites you
to stop in and get your supper to go.

VETERAN’S DAY OBSERVANCE
NOVEMBER 11 (Thursday) - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: St. James Place
315 N. Main Street, Neshkoro, WI
The American Legion will sponsor an event to honor our war
heroes on Thursday, November 11, (Veteran’s Day) from
9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at St. James Place in Neshkoro. Please
come and join us in honoring our veterans. The CCW ladies will
be providing coffee and snacks.
