Luke spoke of John the Baptist’s reply in today’s reading. It
reminds us of this season of generosity and God’s invitation to
labor for him, to answer His call to mission. May our spirit of
generosity awaken in us a fire for His mission in 2022.
BLESS OUR PRIESTS COLLECTION ENVELOPES
Please remember the retired priests of our Diocese of Madison by
making a gift to the “Bless our Priests Collection.” This collection is
used to directly support all retired priests’ welfare including the rising
cost of healthcare, long-term care and medical costs. Please return
your gift in the envelopes available at the entrance of the church and
at the exits at all Masses this weekend. Your generosity supports
retired priests from all 11 counties of our Diocese of Madison!

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
This year, St. John’s in Princeton will be having a nativity play
“O Come Emmanuel!” with children 4K thru 6th grade from St. John’s
and St. James parishes. The date is Saturday, December 18,
before the 5:30 PM Mass.
We’re looking for at least 14 students, along with help from
parents/parishioners with the staging, music accompaniment, etc.
Practices are on Wednesday, December 15, from 4:00 – 5:30 PM
and, if needed, a second one on Saturday, December 18 (TBD).
Please contact Pam Springstroh (920) 229-6843 if your child
would like to participate, or if you are able to help. Please share this
information if you know of any students that would like to participate.

UNLOCKING THE MYSTERY OF THE BIBLE
JANUARY 11, 2022 (Tuesday) - 9:00 AM
Location: St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Princeton
(in the Parish School Building)
Many Catholics want to read the Bible but get bogged down by
the long stretches that seem not to make sense or get lost among
the sea of Old Testament names and places. “Unlocking the
Mystery of the Bible,” an eight-part Bible study, helps you
uncover the story woven throughout Scripture, so you can get
the “big picture” of the Bible and understand what it’s all about.
Aided by a unique color-coded Bible TimelineTM Chart that
arranges the key people, places, and events of the Bible in
chronological order, “Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible” will
help you pick up the Bible with confidence and understand
how you fit into God’s plan.
St. John the Baptist, Princeton, will begin the “Unlocking
the Mystery of the Bible” study on Tuesday,
January 11, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the parish school building.
Participants will meet every week to view an engaging video
presentation followed by a time of lively group discussion
and fellowship. Registration cost is $26.95 for a workbook
and one-year online video access.
