WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES AT ALL TIMES.
Goggles
Goggles are used as eye protection. They are worn over the eyes to keep shark ar
potentially harmful objects out of your eyes. DON’T GO AROUND THROWING
YOUR GLASSES AROUND.
Ear muffs
Ear muffs are ear protection. They keep loud noises from hurting the eardrums.
Gloves
Gloves are hand protection. They keep you from getting splinters, cuts, and gives
you more grip.
Mask
Masks in a woodworking shop are more about keeping dust and sawdust out of
your lungs. They are lung safety.
Safety: KEEP HANDS, ARM, FEET AND

A Kreg Jig is used to make a pocket


hole using a drill.

Needle-nose pliers are used to hold

or cutting things.

Clamps are used to hold things together


or to pry them apart. Usually used to
secure things together.

Speed squares are used t0 make a


perfect corner or to find angles.
Safety: DON’T CUT YOUR FINGERS, PULL IN

Tape Measure
THE TAPE MEASURE, DON’T JUST LET IS

A tape measure is used to measure

Table Saw

diagonally) cut through wood.

Handsaw
PEOPLE. POSITION THE SAW AWAY FROM THE
BODY. PUT A COVER ON IT OR SOMETHING
TOO, WEAR GLOVES FOR A GOOD GRIP

Chop Saw THERE.

A chop saw is for making cross cuts.


Safety: CHISELS ARE VERY SHARP SO PUT A

Chisels
COVER ON THEM AND HOLD THEM WITH
CAUTION. DON’T DROP THEM ON YOUR TOES.
HOLD THEM BY THE HANDLE NOT THE TIP.

Carve wood when pressure is applied

Screwdriver
STORE SAFELY SO THEY DON’T FALL ON PEOPLE.
