BASIC FUNCTION
Public Area Supervisor is responsible for the cleanliness of hotels public areas including hotel exteriors.
He or She also need to train and inspect the performance of assigned public area attendants ensuring
that all procedures are completed as per the hotel's operating standards.
2. Perform routine inspections of all public areas, service areas, and storerooms.
4. Supervise and coordinate pest control, flowers, plants and periodical deep cleaning
operations on all area of responsibility.
6. Anticipate guest's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and

BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for identifying, selecting, mixing, and applying chemical or manual solutions to get rid of
pests. Identifies pest problem and appropriate solution, applies chemical or trap, and removes dead
rodents.
1. Spray chemical solutions, powders, and gases on or near surfaces of a building or house to
eliminate pests.
2. Identify invading pests, including rats, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, mosquitos, or bed
bugs.
3. Set mechanical traps and place bait.
4. Remove dead rodents after extermination.
5. Ensure house or building is empty when product is applied.
6. Air out residence after application.
7. Identify damage to property.
8. Inspect property to ascertain wall and roof porosity and possible sites of pest invasion.
9. Access infested locations.
10. Cut or bore into buildings to access infested areas.
11. Pore pesticides over location.
12. Clean and remove pesticides after application.
13. Study preliminary reports and diagrams of infested area and determine treatment type required
to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.
14. Measure area dimensions requiring treatment.
15. Clean and remove blockages to facilitate application.
16. Position and fasten edges of tarpaulins over building and tape vents to ensure air-tight
environment and check for leaks.
17. Manage workers involved in application.
18. Check for possible leaks or exposure.

BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for the general maintenance of the gardens, plants and lawns at the Hotel. And also
maintain the beautification of the lawns and gardens in order to attract guests to hotels lush and green
surroundings.
1. Soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed
sowing, bed preparation and planting.
2. The use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery.
7. To be aware of Health and Safety requirements noting that all duties must be carried out to
comply with current Health & Safety at Work legislation.
8. To ensure all equipment, machinery are stored securely and clean after use.
10. Maintain gardens by naturally fertilising, trimming and making sure that plants are receiving
adequate water.
11. Prune trees and hedges in ways that help the plants' health, are safe and look good.
12. Maintain lawn and grass areas using machinery, natural fertilisers but no chemicals.
JOB DESCRIPTION
BASIC FUNCTION
Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and baths under supervision of
housekeeping supervisor. Room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and
must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.

complexes with pools.

A Groundsman maintains the grounds of institutions such as schools, universities and public parks.
Groundsmen work to maintain these grounds functionally and aesthetically. Also known as Landscaper,
Groundskeeper, Grounds Maintenance Worker or Grounds Laborer.

The Cleaner will be responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition, and will perform
heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, cleaning and stocking restrooms,
washing walls, glass and upholstered furniture, and removing rubbish. Duties may include notifying
management of the need for repairs.
