 Justify that religion can have positive or negative effects on society

Time Allotment: 40mins per class

Procedure
Day 1 – Monday [Feb 01, 2021] (visual-spatial, verbal-linguistic)
 State the objectives
 Activate prior knowledge to new lesson by means of questioning and short
activity/game. (Engage/Explore/Motivation)
 Let them do the Motivational Activity in the lesson.
• Let them analyze the song “Imagine” and answer the following
questions:
a. What was your initial reaction when you heard the lyrics of the song?
b. Why do you think the songwriter suggests that we imagine a world
without
religion? Do you think he does not believe in God? Explain your answer.
c. What message did you get from the song?
 Introduce new lesson and topic Positive and negative effect of Religion

Day 2 – Wednesday [Feb. 03, 2021] (visual-spatial, verbal-linguistic)


 Recall/review previous discussion/lesson
 Continuation of discussion about Positive and Negative Effect if Religion
Guided Questions:
- Do you agree that sometimes religious conflict are being used for
political reasons? Why or why not?
- Can religious conflicts be avoided? If yes, how?

Day 3 – Friday [Feb. 05, 2021] (visual-spatial, verbal-linguistic)
