1. There  were  a  total  of  20800 books in the National Library and the People’s Library. After ¾ of 
the  books  in  the  National  Library  and  ⅗  of  the  books  in  the People’s Library were loaned out, 
there were 1040 more books in the People’s Library than in the National Library.

2. Linda  and  Jennifer  had  made  a  total  of  204  paper  cranes.  After ⅓ of Linda’s paper cranes and 
½ of Jennifer’s paper cranes were given away, Jennifer had 75 more paper cranes than Linda.

3. Samuel  and  Janice  had  sent  a  total  of  286  texts  to  each  other  in  the  last  month.  After  ⅗  of 
Samuel’s  sent  texts  and  ⅔  of  Janice’s  sent  texts  were  deleted,  Samuel  had  55  lesser sent texts 
than Janice.
