Directions: Make a list of procedures in writing a research title and provide 2-3 sentences
elaboration about them. Use your own words.

Step 1. Ask yourself these questions and make note of the answers.
- What is my paper about? The answer is my paper studies whether X therapy
improves the cognitive function of patients suffering from dementia.
- What were the results? The answer is there was an improvement in the
cognitive function of patients.
Step 2. Use your answers to list key words.
- Make a list of the phrases and keywords that come up throughout your
brainstorming session. Write everything down as much as you can since it will
benefit you.
Step 3. Create a sentence that includes the key words you listed.
- You'll get your first draft of a research title during this phase. However, you'll
need to reduce it in the next few steps if it's too long and doesn't fit the
average published journal article length of 16 words or less.
Step 4. Make a working title for it.
- This is where you'll get rid of some of the elements from your title. Remove
any unneeded or redundant words from the study that aren't relevant to the
research or that researchers are unlikely to employ in a database search.
Step 5. To fulfill a reasonable word count, remove all unnecessary words or phrases;
position keywords at the front and end of your title.
- Finally, the step for establishing a research title is completed. Remove any
leftover superfluous words, and place keywords or phrases at the start and end
of Make
