Count Down: Toxic chemicals in Plastics threaten human fertility and health

Toxic chemicals may cause harm to an individual if it enters the body. It affects not only
the current generation, but also threatens future generations. Exposure occurs when people
have contact with a chemical, either directly or through another substance contaminated with a
chemical. Once these hazardous chemicals are present in the environment, people can become
exposed to them.

As I watch and listen to the webinar, I learned that pristine nature or ecosystems
untouched by human intervention, no longer exist. We have been modifying the environment
around us. From the trash thrown out on the highway, to the millions of metric tons of
pollution pumped into the atmosphere every year, it's obvious pollution and waste are
inescapable. Through this webinar, I found out that pollution isn’t just limited to our
environment, it also threatens our fertility and health. Exposure to toxic pollutants and
chemicals leads to several health concerns, including reproductive system. These materials are
negatively associated with the sperm quality of male which further leads to less fertility.

Human activities have certainly caused serious damage to the Environment. Most
noteworthy, this damage risks the survival of living things on Earth. After hearing all the
information in this webinar, I gained confidence and hope to continue my course on how to
deal with environmental and health related problems. For me, saving environment is the
biggest concern of humanity right now, any delay in this regard could be disastrous.
